7 year old exposed to inappropriate photos? What do I do?

If I'm in bed looking at a picture of Richard Gere with no clothes on I'm engaging in sexual activity? I must remember next time to tell myself what I'm doing.
Would it be appropriate for you to look at naked pictures of Richard Gere whilst lying next to a 7 year old boy though?
It's the context and the company that defines what is appropriate, surely.:hello:0 -
A unfortunate incident for all concerned..Note it and move on...Unless you wish to make waves? It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
OTT reactions, as ever
I'm pretty sure the Dad didn't mean it, and I'll bet it never ever happens again. By the way some have reacted hes sold them off for kiddie !!!!!!
Are people not allowed to have accidents? Our kids have walked in on us 'being adults', we just laughed it off, no harm done, don't make a big deal and its forgotten about within hours0 -

The fact his Dad, whilst in the same bed has been engaging in sexual activity. Whether he manually became aroused or just took the pictures as it was already there, or pictures were already existent, and he was looking to send.
If your child, goes into school and says what you've said here. Social services would be all over this instantly. So yes it is that serious.
Its not a protection issue, as there was no mallice intended
Sure it could be investigated, but it was an accident, an error of judgement0 -

The one big difference here.
He was using/taking/viewing delete as appropriate, sexual pictures in the same bed as his child, his child saw.
So it's a child protection issue when parents sit and read page 3 of The Sun in front of their children?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Depends on context.
However as far as I'm aware, it doesn't show women with their vaginas exposed?
I guarantee you now. A child goes into school and says daddy was sending willy pics, whilst I was in bed with him and I saw.
It would launch the child protection wheel in that school. Yes it would probably just be dropped after parenting issues were raised with the dad. Even if ss got involved.
However as far as safeguarding goes, they'd be failing in their duty if things were not taken further as far as the school goes.0 -
Right so have I got it right here, the dad was not actually naked, and taking pictures of his bits n bobs and sending them.
He's been caught out, on his phone sending old pictures that was on to someone, and his 7 year old has been sneaking a look whilst dad was doing this.
If the above is the case then I see nothing wrong in it. I would just have a word with his dad, and tell him that if he takes a fancy late at night when he's got the lads to send pictures of his bits n bobs to a floozie, then please do not do it when he has the kids.
I've had my grandkids over and they've been reading on the sofa or watching telly and I've been messing about with my phone, and I know they have been looking over.
also I don't see anything wrong with a dad sleeping with his son, I sleep with my step grandson and granddaughter when they sleep here.0 -
I don't think anyone has said it is wrong for the boy to be in his dad's bed.
It's the activities of the dad whilst he has his son with him that is of concern.
Are you really saying that it is OK to be viewing and sending naked pictures of yourself whilst your 7 year old son is close by?
That is way more than poor judgement.:hello:0 -
Wow, some serious overreactions here!
If the kid was supposed to be sleeping, the room would have been dark which means the phone would have been lit up like a beacon! Of course the kid would be able to see and the father wouldn't necessarily know he was spying if it was dark.
Kids catch their parents doing sexual stuff on a day to day basis. My own son has caught me in compromising situations, both with my ex husband and on my own. Doesn't mean he's a child protection risk.0
