    Good evening :D

Not fully caught up with the fred yet, big hugs to Dusty, LW & FBO. And Happy Birthday to MrsMP Sorry if I have missed anyone.

Not much flying done here. I have been working all week, and I am concentrating on paperwork. I really need to be inspection-ready, in case I get the 'call'. I think I will sleep better when it's done (if it is EVER done!) :o

Bins all out today, 2 loads of washing done & dried/folded. DH did the bedroom yesterday, kitchen doesn't look too bad. Food shop done today.

We had the man from BG here yesterday to do a survey, and we should get our new A rated boiler in about 6 weeks :j That should hopefully cut our bills by about 30% apparently :money:

DH has finally got his first counselling session tomorrow (this has only taken since January!!). Hopefully it will help him.

The dog is a bit poorly at the moment :( Very 'loose'. I think it is the heat, as he seems ok in himself, still eating, etc.

I have a child-free day tomorrow (until 3pm anyway) so the plan is paperwork, frog munching & more paperwork! DD's 1&2 are going to the beach to sunbathe, DH has the docs at 11.30, then heading to my mum's so she can go out with her aunty who is staying with her. So I have no excuse!!

Hmmm. I should make a list..... maybe I will post one in the morning :) For now, I think it is cool shower then bed (it seemed to help last night ;))

GI, some years ago I won a brilliant prize of a home energy makeover. They fitted new loft insulation, filled my wall cavities, added TRVs to all my radiators (and cracked 2 so got new radiators too!), some contraption to stop my shower using so much water and a load of energy saving bulbs.

I also had a new boiler fitted (separately, arranged myself).

I checked my gas consumption across two consecutive winter periods, one before the changes and one after, and the drop in gas consumption was 47%

    I kid you not!

The lekky went down too, not by as much, but I think a lot of that was habit changes - not leaving things on standby or charging, not filling kettle too much, economy wash settings etc.

I was very impressed! My boiler at this house must be 15yrs old - I bet its not very efficient...

Phew, I'm exhausted. I haven't completely finished the garden but as I spent a good 8 hours out there today and filled 3 garden waste bags, I think I did ok. I flung the hose around as the sun was going down which means I have left the washing on the line. Hence, I have not put on another load as earlier I didn't have a full wash.
I now have several full washes as my DS has also tidied his bedroom AKA shoved his floordrobe onto the landing for me to collect and wash. That will keep me fairly busy tomorrow :).
Happy birthday Mrs Mp, I'm sorry, I didn't realise earlier.
    Pigpen, Dot looked sparko!
Bossy moo, your IL's sound lovely.
I flicked a seed in my ear earlier  flipping thing shot right in there when I was weeding! I think I got it out though.
Ffp, Arran is beautiful, quite isolated though I would imagine. I spent many a ferry journey there as a child feeding the jelly fish on the way from Ardrossan. I took DH last time we went up there but as I'm now an adult, I panicked when he tried to take toddler daughter through the gap in the harbour wall .
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.
  • Well DD is home and in bed. I went to Mr Ts on the way home for a couple of things. They have a sale on in the clothing so DD got a new dress and I got trousers and shoes. I made OH pay so that's some of his punishment for my day trip ;)
Kaz I've not been to Arran for a while my cousin moved out there about 12yrs ago she runs the post office which I imagine is the hub of activity there! The last time DS1 was over for the Highland games he met Princess Ann she told him his candy floss stall was lovely. Silly boy didn't even know who she was!
Mrs Moneypenny Happy birthday pal hope you've had a wonderful day xxx

  • Well I am shattered! Didn't get home until 10:30 last night so no flying done. OH did the dishwasher but nothing else - didn't hang the washing out or anything useful like that!! So will need a bit of a catch up today if I can wake up a bit tonight.

    Morning!

DS has got out of the wrong side of the bed so today will be, at best, trying ;)

I want to vac the car out today, having the carseats out really showed up the crumbs and bits everywhere. Then I'm going to take them for feet measuring at the outlet shop before school hols! Early afternoon will be upstairs flying, trying to create some space!

Bright with a little smattering of cloud, here. Will probably strip the beds and get washer on...

    Good morning ladies.

    Sorry about Mary Lamewolf.

No paid stuff today so flying will happen. I have lots of ironing to do.

Time has been lost sorting out neighbour who has fallen off the wagon. She's leaning on the new neighbours who are very kind. I'm trying to encourage the NN to take a step back, she sat with her for hours.

DS1 has upset everyone. I don't know what to do with him, he's so difficult.

DH working far too hard in light of his recent health issues. Worrying about DS1 isn't helping.

    Good day wishes for everyone.
