Breakfast was nice - I did cook a fry up but it kept me filled up till tea time so not all bad.
Have to pay car tax in Oct so put aside 75 for that which sods up the payment to the CC
I may have to borrow out of my savings to get through this month. What I really need is a clear idea of the other two credit cards.
t'scos - this one is monthly spends, had three hundred pounds credit on there due to me not having access to online banking and balance transferring the bill balance rather than the actual balance(ie paying twice!).
154.32the last of vet bill.
RBS -0 I think. Not used it for anything........ooo train ticket. !!!!!!.
130. train ticket and spends.
ok so I go phone the CC people and see what happens.
- sorted and paid, used my 100 pounds emergency fund (!) so not a complete disaster.
Current big CC= 5095
night all. yippee finally tired. xNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Facebook status's I would like to put up but can't
1. I want a boyfriend! (advertising)
2. no I am not going on holiday so sod off with your holiday photos *so jealous*
3. Yes. Genius I am aware the sun is shining. (ok bitter about it being hot!)
So August went from being financially ok to a bit of a nightmare. Overspends in June and July have stuffed me but I am on an even keel really, just means the CC debt will be around for awhile longer.
Today I am dog sitting and will be taking work with me. need to buy lunch. I will also be working on my goals for this month, I am reading a few books at the moment - low price Kindle things but make you think.
breakfast, shower and then out so see you all tonight sometime.
P.S Lack of sleep and period = terrible spots for the first time in MONTHS. most odd.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Buffy
Love your comment re the holiday. Made me laugh! I've lost count of how many people have asked me if I'm going away this year. Just say already been - which is true as we went to Lanzarote in January. I don't tell them about the cancelled April and August ones and why and how gutted I am. Hope by the time you read this you've had a good day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Afternoon
Hope you have had a good day. Bleurgh to girl hormones, they are the worst, still make me feel like crap, can get text from OH saying he misses me but still feel rubbish and unloved, bah

Know what you mean about fb statuses. I would love to say 'flogged husband on ebay' but have never had any takers.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hello Ladies

hormones are a night mare frankly.
So what have I been reading?

Sweet book, lovely idea and I have to say it appeals. don't know that it would work but hey made me think and it would make you feel good.........It is about changing your attitude to money, to the point where you give it away (!) as an anonymous good deed.

this one is one of those ask the universe books, Law of attraction malarkey. I am reserving judgement. I know some of my friends really buy into it. I like that it wants you to focus on your goals, the affirmations section was a good read. Really the message is you have nothing to lose by trying it so why not try it!

This was the most interesting book, I liked it and will be following a lot of what it says, the idea of writing down ideas wants needs etc. Really thinking about what it is you want.
I love my Kindle

Baldybear how lovely for your Oh to text
however hormones take no prisoners, two days ago I was pretty much thinking I was a failure, life was over etc, then I checked the date and thought aha.
I get so excited when this guy e mails, I think it is just attention since 1. I don't know what he looks like and 2. he showing no signs of wanting to meet.
Shame cos sometimes I think he is a male version of me we are quite similar but well he doesn't watch tv and seems a little isolated. Well no, he does mention friends and stuff I don't know.
Anyhow I came on to say
1. paid a whole 7 quid off the CC (5088)
2. have signed up to the make 10 pounds a day thread, for 5 pounds:o
3. Have re thought my goals.
for august
1. Finish dissertation
2. Declutter house
3. Finish Tefl course.
4. clear out school stuff. finish up.
Hell that book said one goal at a time.
*goes off grumbling *

Good Luck with the list for August Buffy - I do love a list. I'm good at writing them, maybe not so much so at actually finishing them!

Hi Buffy
Just wanted to say thanks for recommending that Goal Machine book. I downloaded it from Amazon last night and read it before I went to bed.
I went out and got my notebook today and have been busy writing away in it.
Good luck with your list for August.
