Hello Dairy land,

I have been taking Babysteps for a while now and overall have done well - right up till the car broke down and I got vet bills galore!

SO my aim was to be out of debt and having passed my Masters by the end of the year.

This is going to be a little difficult due a few setbacks and tendency on my part to go to bed or shop when things get tough!

My employment situation is unstable money wise but good mentally. I am looking forward to the challenge of a new school and a new start. Cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to it all.

I had said this month would be a month of reinvention and I am keeping to that. I need to take an interest in my clothes and appearance again - been wearing WAY too much black recently and have 0 summer wardrobe. I spent 80 quid last night on some basics for work and some summer staples. It is a lot of money when really I need to be careful but since I have two skirts to wear without tights and no wear in public vest tops things are bad!

Also I want to build my life back, between work and dating I haven't done much for my friends or in the house. I do not regret dating but am aware I went away from real life there for a bit - the fantasy was great but reality can be made to be good.

I just wish it wasn't so hot today. Already moved a table downstairs and trying to sort some stuff out in the shed but am melting.

On to the Challenge

The 100 days runs from today till the 22nd of October

my aims during this time are

1. To pay off 2000 pounds of my debt total
2. Finish the Masters
3. To declutter the house
4. To save for a holiday in half term
5. To add to the deposit fund and to save 500 for Christmas - already have 218 so not so bad.
6. Spend more time with friends.
7. Sort out my money situation in terms of "investments"
8. Make a plan for living elsewhere
9. Finish my Tefl course
10. Get fit. seriously and sort out my wardrobe.

They won't all be achieved and finished in the 100 days but my aim is really to do something towards at least three of them each day.

Feel free to join in, will be back to add some more to this but need to rescue the pigs from the garden

xxxxx

    Reserved for updates xxx

Hello diary readers, well if you are reading this then this challenge has finished.

Here is the final up date.

    1. To pay off 2000 pounds of my debt total
Did not even get close, new job much lower wages than I fully realised! still glad I left my old job tho!

    2. Finish the Masters
nope, have to be honest and say I haven't touched it. However I do have a plan for some new research and change to my question.

    3. To declutter the house
I have tried, but it hasn't worked. My room is better, loads better and I have packed bags for charity and been reorganising stuff. Maybe being harsh here, my room is loads better and that is a good starting point.

    4. To save for a holiday in half term
Didn't save but did have a break, spent on CC paying it off today with wages. so not adding to the debt.

    5. To add to the deposit fund and to save 500 for Christmas - already have 218 so not so bad.
    done very pleased with that.

    6. Spend more time with friends.
Have done that, been feeling better so it has been easier.

    7. Sort out my money situation in terms of "investments"

    Done

    8. Make a plan for living elsewhere

    done- well I have a Plan a and a Plan B

    9. Finish my Tefl course
    No......:o

    10. Get fit. seriously and sort out my wardrobe.
    No not even slightly. :rotfl:

Although some bits of this list haven't been done I am generally happy with the last 100 days. I really like my new job and routine and can see the good - I have savings, I have debt at 0% and I am on a daily basis feeling better. I am especially chuffed with the money side of the last 100 days.

  • So today

    I saw my friend
    Bought some clothes
Rearranged the furniture in my room.

The first two were great, the third one was a disaster. I want to cry actually.

Decluttering needs to be done but I have let stuff get in such a mess :(

tomorrow I have to go to my new school. am bricking it completely.

    Also don't have a memory stick. !!!!!!. I knew I'd forget.

mind you I could use dropbox.......... now what is my password.......

am really nervous about tomorrow. Just want it all to go away.

    xx

  • Right, can you email the docs to yourself or set up a new dropbox/password?

You'll be fine in the new school today but first visit is always nervewracking. I get silly anxiety over things and am planning to just keep facing it head on, after all what is the worst that can happen?

You've let things get bad as we all have, let's face it none of us really want to be posting on this board! We'd all much rather have easy organised lives with plenty of cash but we don't and we're dealing with it. I'm taking the shove it all into any cupboard/drawer method of dealing with clutter. I want it out of sight for now so I can begin to deal with it one space at a time, is this something you could try?

    You'll be fabulous today!
