I have been here years, in debt, out of debt - back in debt currently and need to get on the MSE bandwagon of being frugal and sensible with money! Nothing works as well as this place for sorting out money related stuff (actually here you can find all sorts of excellent advice)

Now for some saving money in jar is silly - pointless even, put it on the pesky CC bill or in a bank account - apparently people save in banks ;)

However I loved being part of the £2 thread and the Sealed Pot thread. I got huge satisfaction from a full money box!! and using it for Christmas or paying off debts.

So I am starting a 50p saving thread. Any 50p pieces must be collected and saved in a jar/money box/old sock etc.

The Challenge will run from 12/12/12 :) to 12/12/13 although Savers can join at any point during the year!

You can set a target, perhaps you could save for the Car tax or the TV licence or holiday spending money?

So please post and join me!

Love Buffy xx

who will be out of Debt again :)

i've been thinking of getting a terrimundi for a while, might be a christmas pressie to myself, so i won't be tempted to spend any!

my goal will be to save towards doing up my bathroom - i want a shower suite or the kitchen.

  • Ohhhh :D I've been saving these towards the "bus fund" (£1 coins also going towards this) - I will need to keep putting them towards it just now (as it could be needed at any point ) but I should reach my total shortly so ........

Count me in!:D (even if I'm a little late starting!).

Target ..... will have a think & report back - I really [STRIKE]fancy [/STRIKE] need ;) a new casserole pot but can't justify the £60ish for it so that might be good to aim for!
