This looks like a challenge to join for me, our family saves all our coppers, 5, 10, and 20 pences, but the 50p would be a great personal challenge to help towards Christmas and birthdays!! I have a real habit of spending any money I have in my purse, so here's an excuse not to.

Hi cazzyd welcome!
Buffy will give you a number when she gets back after the weekend ... meantime, pop up a target & what you're saving for (if a specific thing!)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Thanks very much, I guess just Christmas 2013 in the region of 50.00 will pay for cousins/friends presents. Is that a reasonable target?

To be fair my sister collected a whole bunch of 50ps in a collection for me for Christmas, but it wouldn't be fair to save those as they were a royal mint Olympic memorabilia collection a celebration of my Olympic Gamesmaker experience.Lose 1st 7lb

Count me in please, aiming for £100 towards a new tv for our bedroom.
I doubt I'll be counting as I go though, but will do a major count up in December. Good luck allDF by Christmas 2014 #116 | £435 / £2931.070 -
Count me in
Just a £50 target for me please - I travel on the bus a lot so I'm always using up change & I'd rather set a lower target so I can (hopefully) be more impressed with the end result! Also a 20p saver for 2013 too.

Ohhhhhhh can I join in please?
I saved my 50p's all last year and have just opened my pot today and have £52.50. I know it's not a huge amount but I was so delighted.:j
£50 is going into the bank and £1 will be used to but another sealed pot and the last £1.50 will be used to start me off again.
I won't be keeping a running total and I am not saving for anything in particular. It will just be lovely to open the pot and have that cash this time next year. :T
I suppose my main aim will be to beat the £52.50 I saved this year:T
