Luckyone if it is exhausting you that much then please don't feel you need to do it, this is supposed to be a hobby, there are enough people around who know how the boards work that could do the same thing, please don't turn this hobby into an unpaid job for yourself.

I agree with your comments about needing more BG's around but until/unless we get them it's not worth wearing yourself out over.

    Thanks Mumto2boys,

What people don't realise with me because I don't speak about it is I have a lot of illnesses 10 in total, believe me I'm not bragging. One of them is C.F.S & I do struggle now with the amount of work that needs to be done on the board every day.

It's often why you will find little typo's in the comps I post or the comments because my mind goes some where else every now & then due to the C.F.S & another of my illnesses IIH.

I have been thinking long & hard on weather I stay on this board, because for me I can't not do the work, if I see it needs doing I can't not do it, it's just how I am in RL as well as online life.

I have been trying out Loquax it's different, I can't find any bad points about it except I am unsure if there are as many comps posted as here, though all the major ones are there.

I would like to stay here, it feels like home.

It really would not take much adjusting to get it running much smoother. I am keeping my fingers crossed that when the new BG or BG's are picked things will change.

I hope it's very soon. If it does not change then I will have to make the difficult decision to leave here

    xxx

I have to say I am exhausted every day at the moment.

From when I get on the forum around 8.30am till 9.30pm with small brakes in between I spend 70% of that time asking for posts to be posted correctly.

Luckyone as someone else has said if all this 'work' is as stressful as you say then just leave it and use the board for comping :) the amount of 'wrong titles' etc hasn't increased and people have managed to comp and win even when there are a few on the boards for a couple of days :)

just to put it into perspective, over the last 48 hrs you have posted on 3 threads asking the OP to edit the title, even if you add in that in the last 48 hrs you also requested 5 merges and added 16 links to the daily thread I'm struggling to see how that is taking up over 9 hrs of your day?

take a step back and just enjoy the comping :) there's plenty of people on here who will post pointers to newbies, without having multiple illnesses to contend with too :)

I am going to word my reply very carefully.

Thank You for scrolling through all my posts Glad.

To get a more realistic view of how much work I do on this forum, you need to scroll further, plus count in all the competitions I list for this forum too.

Have a look through the daily's thread at all the added comps there, that should help you.

The above comments are my view & mine alone.

This forum could be so much better if it is Bged differently to all the other forum sections on this website.

That's not any fault of you or dalkrist the rules were written for the entire MSE forum.

The comp forum is so much different to any of the other forums.

I can't see things that need to be done & leave them. It's not in my nature I just do them because they need to be done, I know how to do them so do them however exhausted & in pain I am (probably why my body is giving up on me)

As I said in my post above, I'm seriously thinking about leaving & I am trying some where else out at the moment.

I will leave it there I think.

I never disputed how much you contribute to the comps boards :)
in fact I even added in some of the extra things you do :) I was only replying to your original statement which said that you spend 13 hrs a day online here and spend 70% of that time just asking for threads to be posted correctly

the subject of more BGs, and how poorly the comps board is BG'd has been brought up by yourself again and again lately and MSEAndrea has acknowledged it, it should now be left to the team to make a decision on when to appoint one :)

eta: no need to say thank you :) I was happy to take the time to look through your posts, I was concerned about how many wrongly posted threads there must be if it was taking up so many hours in your day and causing you so much stress :( I needed a way to get an idea of the numbers so I could think of a way of solving the problem, usually I sort the board and check them out but there never seems to be the amount you indicated :)

Thank You for acknowledging my contribution to the forum

I thought the compers chat corner was the place to talk?

Threads are made & people post their own opinion.

    The above is my opinion.

Unless you are saying I'm not allowed my opinion?

Aw Lucky I don't think Glad is implying that at all. You do so much on the forum and the request for more BG's has been acknowledged in the mean time though its not nice to think you are making yourself ill doing so much. There will always be someone else happy to help so please dont stress yourself and try to have fun because i hate to think you aren't enjoying it as much over something uneccessary. :)

    of course you are :)

not only did I acknowledge your opinion I even took the time to establish how many times you were having to ask people to edit posts and to tell you that if it is taking up to 9 hrs a day, along with your numerous health problems, you should let go a little and just enjoy the comping :)

and on your point of the poor BGing of the comps board I was just explaining that all we can do now is wait for the team to appoint a new one, at no point did I intimate that you shouldn't voice your opinion :)

    Thank You Glad,

It's just who I am, who I have always been. If I see something that I think could be done in a different way I say so, if threads are made where the same point is asked I say it again, it's never ever been personal to you, Dalkrist or Andrea it's towards "MSE Guidelines" making the board work better.

You can give me a set of rules/guidelines on any forum & I'm the one who say's but why is that a rule/guideline? :rotfl:

Someone once said to me you will never be classes as a sheep who follows :D

    It's frustrating :)

i know someone with CFS and i really cant imagine how you manage to do a 8.30am to 9.30pm shift.
i know cfs differs from person to person but most well people who work do not do 11 hour shifts. i can only assume you have no support with cfs as any medical professional will tell you that is silly and will not aide your recovery. so im saying it instead. srry if you dont like that, but take it as a helpful comment, not as a criticism
