Wow CW that's a pretty impressive list of knee / leg conditions! I wouldn't be surprised if some have been caused by one / more than one occurring and not being treated correctly. Still, I'm pleased to hear its been diagnosed now and hopefully you can start your road to recovery. Keep us posted on what your neighbour is having done.

Sounds like the girls love the knitting Red I'd love to be able to knit, my mum tried to teach me as a child but her being right handed and me being left she found it hard to show me. I recall she ended up just showing me right handed, which I grasped fine prob because I didn't know any different (I do some things right handed anyway, like eat - because that's how the table was always laid, and oddly use a mouse like a right handed person - I suppose again, because that's just where they were when I learned to use one)

jeferey our lawn needs doing badly, I'm hoping a couple of goats might pass by but doesn't look likely. How was High Wycombe?

Well speaking of gardens, I spent 3hrs out the back today pruning the wisteria (my fav plant in the garden, which gets the most care) and cutting a few bits that I didn't get around to doing last autumn / winter because they were still in flower attracting the bees. I also managed to untangle one plant (which I now know to be a winter jasmine) from something I've been trying to find the source of for the past 5yrs - I think its actually a variety of honeysuckle but has ended up just being very invasive and have never seen it flower. It's probably just been smothered by the other plants. Whoever landscaped the garden originally seemed to know what they were doing and spent a lot of money doing so, but sadly previous occupants rather neglected it so a lot of plants really got too large and just grew together. After a lot of pruning over the past few years I can finally see the wood for the trees - quite literally :rotfl: I do enjoy learning what is growing and being able to see the plants individually. Still some more cutting I could do out the back but must do the lawn sometime first.

We also have a massive but very woody rosemary bush, which I love but it just too big for where it is, I think I'm finally going to have to admit it needs to come out but not before I get some good cuttings growing from it first.

Me and OH a friend move some stuff to the tip / storage tomorrow morning as he has to move house (the tip stuff appeals to my current spring clean mode :D) then off for a 9 mile run. Wish me luck, I'll be going back to work on Monday for a rest :rotfl: (oh and was at yoga last night too :o)

So glad the weather is at least dry and I've been able to get outside, just makes me feel happier, even though I like the winter - just when its cold and crisp, not soggy.

Good morning CW, must be only 10 days to your appointment now, bet you'll be glad when you make some progress. Keep those exercises up if it's not too painful.
Red - just keep fit really. I went for a 37.5 mile bike ride on Saturday afternoon. Quite an achievement the Yorkshire women rowers, I can't see me ever doing anything like that, but I do set myself smaller goals.
Kerri - I was staying at the George & Dragon in West Wycombe which was lovely - food was excellent and I ended up with a 4 poster bed :rotfl:. Sounds like your garden is taking shape (literally ;)). I biked up to allotment with FD yesterday and we put some glass on one of the beds to warm up the soil in preparation for the first early potatoes which will be going in in a week or two.

Good morning red, kerri, and Jeferey

wow you lot have been busy what with gardening, cycling, running, knitting etc.

Little old me hasn;t. I am sat at home still doing the exercises the physio game me. My leg is very unstable and I have to keep walking to a minimum using a zimmer frame when I do walk. Got to keep my knee straight and put my foot flat on the floor.

But got a phone call yesterday from the hospital. The person I was due to see in 2 weeks doesn;t want to see me as he checked my records (he has seen the mri scan) and as its such a complicated problem he knows he would have to refer me to a senior consultant at a different hospital. So to save time he has made the referral without seeing me and the first appt is at the beginning of May. So now I have a 2 month wait to see someone so have to carry on as I am.

Going to phone the physio as he wanted me to see the orthopaedic people before our next appt but I don;t want to leave it another 2 months.

Walking is well dodgy as my right knee gives way but my left leg is taking more weight and my left ankle has given way a couple of times as well. Hope the next few months pass quickly.

Morning CW, Kerri and Red :D

CW, Sorry to hear about the setback with the appointments, I suppose it means it wasn't a wasted trip but it probably just seems like more delays to you.
It makes my back problem seem quite insignificant - I'm off for another physio session tonight - haven't had one for 2 weeks as I was away last week.

    Morning red, kerri, and Jeferey

Sorry your back problems haven;t cleared up yet Jeferey. You have had it for so long now it must be getting you down. Have you tried a tens machine. My physio recommended it so my ds went and got me one from Lloyds chemist, it was only £12. I will try anything atm.

Heavy rain last night at least cleaned the bird muck off the window. We had a flock of seagulls flying around on Sunday and then they landed in the fields behind me as the farmer had been muck spraying the day before (lovelty, not) and the seagulls decided to decorate the houses as they flew over us.

Morning CW, Kerri and Red :D

I've heard of those CW - I'll have a look.

Still in training at work - day 3 of 3 today - mentally knackered - slept well last night ;)

Looking forward to the weekend - it's DW's b'day followed by mother's day. We were hoping to go to Castleton for the day on Saturday but forecast isn't too great :snow_laug so may have to find somewhere indoors.

    Take care

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey.

Re the tens machine Jeferey. The physio told me to get it from Lloyds the chemist as they are the cheapest and he thinks the best as a lot of his patients say they seem to work for them. Its defo worth a try at that price.

Looks like your going to have a busy flower buying weekend too Jeferey, with your DW birthday and Mothers Day together. Hope you find somewhere nice and dry to go to.

We had snow for a few hours yesterday, followed by rain, hail, heavy wind and sunshine. The weather just couldn;t make its mind up. lol.

Not sure what its going to do today but its cold and sunny atm.

    Take care guys

Evening CW, Kerri and red. We had a good dollop of snow this morning but it was too wet to settle on the roads thank goodness. Went to M&S this afternoon with DW to get a load of stuff for Mother's Day. Used some gift cards so only paid £8 :D
    Take care.
