Put 21 potatoes in this morning with the help of DW, FD and FT. He slept 13 hours last night - we must have worn him out! He went to bed 20 minutes ago and I read him a story and he's gone already
Pulled up a mahoosive beetroot the size of a rugby ball :rotfl::rotfl: and a parsnip, a few leeks and some purple brussel sprouts. Had them for lunch with some roasted chicken - delicious. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Afternoon red, kerri and Jeferey.
I think you must have had good weather at the allotment yesterday Jeferey as the weather has been a bit more springlike the last couple of days. Sounds like your FD and FT had a good time too.
Were the beetroot, parsnip and leaks and sprouts leftovers from last years planting? is that why the beetroot was so big.
I got my dh to tidy up some plants yesterday and fix a fence panel. Looks like this nice weather will continue for a couple of days but be frosty at night.
Take care guys

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey
Lovely and sunny outside today. Been frosty overnight but its now warming up nicely. Might get my dh and ds out doing some gardening for me later.
Got my physio coming later. Not sure she can help at all as the new physio said the same as the last one, that she doesn;t want to recommend anything till I have seen the consultant in May. But we shall see.
Hope your all enjoying the sunshine.

Hope you get some joy with the physio CW.
I'm going for a walk shortly - it does look nice and sunny. We didn't have a frost but it was fairly cold this morning, at least there wasn't any fog like last couple of mornings, the afternoon's were lovely, it was nice to be able to sit in the garden and watch the FT kicking a ball around and not be frozen!
Good afternoon everyone

Good afternoon everyone.
CW - how was the physio today? Any help to you?
Jeferey - you sound as though you had a good time with the little ones. How do you keep up your energy levels with all your activity?
Well, Wednesday is my op. day so think of me in the afternoon - I just hope nothing stops it this time.
Lovely and spring like here today - sunny but still quite cold when the wind blows. I have managed to do a bit of tidying up in the garden which I enjoyed although can't spend too long out there. Can't wait to get back to normal activity but the lad who does some gardening for us is coming tomorrow so when he cuts the lawns things will look a lot better.
Mrs MS - Wow that is a name from the past. Think you'll find couponing nothing like it used to be. Gone are those "free" shopping trips.0 -
Good morning red, CW and Kerri
red - I must say I was a bit tired yesterday at work :rotfl: Hope the knee op goes ok.
We've got an 18 month old coming for a couple of days on Friday. Let's hope she sleeps through this time!

Morning all.
Jeferey - Do you have a number of foster children that you take care of for short periods regularly? Is that for respite for the families? Made be wonder because you mentioned "hoping the FT coming this weekend will sleep through this time".
CW - Hope everything went well yesterday with the physio & that you aren't feeling worse today.0 -
Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey.
The physio came yesterday. She couldn't recommend anything else (got to keep doing the exercises the last physio gave me) She did say she will come back with the Occ Therapist but it will be a few weeks before she can come back due to holidays. So just got to keep going till I see the consultant in My.
Good luck for tomorrow red. Hope the operation goes well and you get back to normal quickly.
My ds and dh mowed the lawns yesterday, almost filled the wheelie bin with grass cuttings. It was nice and sunny but cold too, much the same as today is so at least a bit more springlike.
Jeferey, another little FT. Just take her to the allotment and let her have a good dig around and run about and that should tire her out a bit. lol. Running around after the little FT will keep you fit and busy.

Evening All, sorry I haven't been around much. Not sure if I mentioned but we had some really carp news a couple of weeks ago and still dealing with that now - which is totally rubbish and making me feel very unsettled and down. On top of that I was away with work first part of last week so catching up / jet lag etc to get over.
Just wanted to let you all know I haven't been abducted by aliens. Sorry you're still suffering with your knee CW.
Jeferey the carp news means no veg growing for me this year - so you win on that one by default.
Red thinking of you for tomorrow

Sorry to hear you are having a bad time at the moment Kerri & don't like to hear that it seems it will not be resolved quickly. Take care of yourself & you know you can always share with us here.
Looks as though we are going to have accept Jeferey as the king of the veg this year then!
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes for tomorrow - really looking forward to being able to take a proper walk in a few weeks.0
