Shame about the hedge Redsounds like it might be getting strangled by the ivy - see if it recovers once its cleared?

Chilly here today but blue skies and dry - don't think my sheets will be dry but at least I got them out.

busy day with work - can't believe it's only Tuesday!

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey.

My ds did all the bedding a couple of days ago, not worth trying to dry outside as its been frosty every day. Today everything is white again. He dried it in the tumble dryer, its had to be done and blow the cost.

Well had my first lot of physio yesterday. The physio has said that my leg muscles/tendons or whatever and inflamed from the knee to the foot. He felt all the way from the knee, well he squeezed and pressed and poked and said he can feel it and thats why my leg/foot is swollen. He gave me a few excercises and is coming back tomorrow to see me again. I think the dr has my mri results as the surgery phoned and the dr wants to see me tomorrow as well. So might get the proper diagnosis tomorrow with a bit of luck.

The physio wants me to get a tens machine as well so my ds will go and get me one later from Lloyds chemist which is the best/cheapest place to buy them the physio said.

Hopefully between the physio/excercises and the tens machine I might get my leg back working and pain free again soon. yippeeeee.

    Hope your all well.

    Sorry I haven't been around.
CW - Sounds like there's light at the end of the tunnel, thank goodness :)
I'm staying in High Wycombe for a couple of nights (this is the second) as I'm on a 3 day training course. I've just had a delicious fish & shellfish bouillabaise - absolutely stuffed now :rotfl:
    Evening Kerri and red :D
I've brought my bike with me so managed to get a 17.6 mile bike ride yesterday evening and a 16.1 mile ride in this evening before it got too dark :D
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

CW I won't say that's 'good' about the knee but at least it seems that they are starting to actually understand what the issue is.

jeferey you're literally just up the road from me if you're in HW. Well done on the bike ride.

I was out pounding out the miles this morning - 6 miles, -3 degrees....I must be bonkers! However the sunrise was absolutely beautiful - one of those proper 'its good to be alive' type mornings so it was well worth getting up for. :)

    Afternoon red, kerri and Jeferey

we I was right, its not simply osteo arthritis. I went to the drs today and he did have my results. I have all sorts wrong with my knee and leg. A radial tear of the medial meniscus with medial meniscal extrustion. chondorpathy in the medial tibiofemoral compartment and the lateral tibiofemoral compartment. Grade 4 chondropathy of the medial facet. tendonitis and various other bits and pieces.

The dr made me an orthopaedic appt while we were with him and its for a couple of weeks time, so we have to wait and see what is recommended. In the meantime I have to continue doing gentle excercises as shown by the physio and take tramadol when I need it.

Now I don;t know what half of the stuff on the report means but the physio said it will take a long time to recover as its made worse by the delays and me having a pain in my knee since June last year.

But at least we are getting somewhere now.

Enjoy your training course Jeferey, make sure you wrap up warm in this freezing weather. Same for you kerri, be careful you don;t slip on the icy pavements.

We had snow again yesterday, not for long luckily but woke up this morning to a really bad frost, everything was a shiny white.

Well glad you now know what is wrong with your leg CW. Sounds to me as though you may need at least a repair or possibly a replacement knee.

Jeferey & kerri admire your rides and runs in the current cold weather. Today has been lovely here although now getting a bit chillier.

I'm off tonight for the second session with one of our local guide groups to carry on teaching the girls how to knit. A few of us did it a couple of weeks ago and it was really entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat with the girls. Will be interesting to see if any of them have tried at home.

    Afternoon guys

Cold but quite bright day for us here. Looks like a neighbour is having some building work done as some bricks have just been delivered. The jobs on our house have come to a full stop since I got worse unfortunately. We need to have a couple of lintels put in over windows but haven;t felt up to chasing builders to get quotes.

Lets hope for a warmer weekend.

    Enjoy your knitting evening red.

Afternoon all - bright and sunny today but really cold out there. Don't know about warmer weather - weather forecast was showing winds coming in from the north on Sunday!

How are the exercises going CW? Are they helping at all?

Kerri & Jeferey - What do you think of the Yorkshire women who have just broken the record rowing across the ocean? Do you have any special aims other than keeping fit with all the exercise you both do?

Had a good evening with the guides again. Amazing how quickly they have learnt to knit and last night most of them were coping very well, with some of them trying really hard to complete a square in the time we had.
