Good morning kerri, red, and Jeferey

My ds foot is not too bad atm. He has to soak it every morning in salt water and then I put a clean dressing on. It still looks red and bloody but he is back at hospital tomorrow for a check up. It only hurts a bit, or so my ds says, so hopefully all will be well.

My knee is the same as before tbh. The tramadol do help with the pain though but when I try to walk my knee still gives way. Just waiting to hear when I will have a mri and physio.

Sorry your side pain is no better Jeferey. Keep going back to the dr till they get to the bottom of it.

Kerri, you have such a busy life, don;t know how you do it and still fit time in for your running.

I am like you red, don;t like getting up too early. Nice and warm in bed on these cold mornings. lol.

Good morning all. Lovely sunshine outside but all the cars are iced up and it is very cold.
Jeferey & CW Sorry to hear that you are both still suffering. CW you need to take your own advice to Jeferey and keep pushing for early dates for your MRI and physio. Seems to me that you need that MRI quickly to find out what has happened inside your knee.
Anyone got romantic plans for the weekend? We are going to a jazz concert on Sunday afternoon - a late Christmas present from our daughter which just happens to be on Valentines Day!!

No romantic plans for us Red but we do have a card for each other and a small pressie. We've planned things in the past and something has always come up to mess up the plans so we've given up lol but we are going away for a weekend to Norfolk next weekend so looking forward to that - haven't been since I was a kid.
Frosty here yesterday and this morning, definitely turned cooler.

No romantic plans here either. Not even got my dh a card as not been out. Will ask my ds to get me on tomorrow when he goes shopping for me.

I am going to phone up re the mri scan later. They said I would hear from them within 7 days and thats up today.

Its frosty here today and so cold. My ds is going out soon. Got to go and see the dr re his toe and have a dressings change.

Got my mri appt. Its for Wednesday next week. I ended up calling them and she apologised that they hadn;t phoned and let me know. doh......... but at least have the date now.


My ds went to have his toe checked at hospital and its doing ok. No sign of infection so far so just got to keep soaking in salt water and doing dressings. He goes back in 3 weeks for another check up.

Another frosty night, can;t wait for spring and the weather to get a bit warmer.

Morning all - won't say "good morning" as it is cold and wet. We have our granddaughter's dog staying this weekend so have to go out regardless to give her a short walk.
The family have gone to Disney Paris for a few days - just hope the weather is a bit kinder there for them.
CW - glad to hear you have your MRI next week - just as well you phoned. Let's hope it shows what is going on inside your knee & they can sort it out. Good that your DS's toe is getting better.
Jeferey - are the heat pads easing your pain? I find a wheat bag is quite good if you have an odd ache or pain. It is quite amazing how a bit of heat eases some things.

Another cold frosty start to the day. Glad to be stopping in.

good news though. I made it downstairs yesterday (with the help of my ds and dh). I needed to try as if I really couldn;t I needed to book an ambulance for Wednesday. I was really difficult and painful but I got there. For some reason coming back upstairs was more painful. But pleased I did it anyway.

Its another bright day but very frosty and very cold. We are forecast snow tomorrow and Wednesday so looks like a very cold few days ahead.

Might have another go at getting downstairs again later.

Evening all! Chilly down this way but no sign of snow or anything quite so wintery which is good. in fact we've had a couple of lovely clear sunny days. Washing has been out 'drying' (at least it's out of the house) and I clocked up a decent time on a 6mile run yesterday so there appears to be hope for my next race.

CW glad you were able to make it downstairs - lets hope the MRI scan shows actually what is wrong and not just what the GP seems to be guessing as default. Glad your DS foot is healing too.

jeferey how's the side? hope its not impacting on your ability to show us your wonderful veg later in the year.

Red hope you're ok, we don't need anyone else on this thread with aches and pains or goodness knows what people will think of us all :rotfl:

Busy week again here, was at yoga tonight though it felt a little like going through the motions, just didn't click tonight. Still you get days like that, at least I went.

Side still hurting a bit but definitely improving, managed a 38 mile bike ride at the weekend and a trip to the allotment - digging actually seems to help! More physio and acupuncture tonight.
CW - Glad you've got the MRI appointment now, finger's crossed.
kerri - glad the training is going well - keep it up
Red - hope your weather has improved - it's sunny here but blinking freezing - minus 2 at the minute brrrr
