Thanks Red - we are in a position that is better than others but along with 'everything happens for a reason' knowing that atm isn't much comfort. By nature I hate change, uncertainty and not being in control and this pretty much covers all three. On the upside, it's killed my appetite so I'm saving on the food bill.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and thanks for your thoughts / good wishes. xx

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey.

red, hope the op went well and you get home soon. Don't overdo things though, just rest that knee and allow it to recover slowly.

kerri, I don;t now whats wrong but have some ((hugs)) and hope whatever the problem is it passes soon and you can get back to normal doing your gardening and jogging etc.

Jeferey, looks like your going to be renamed "allotment man" this year with kerri out of action for a while. At least the weather has improved slightly so you can get more spuds planted. lol.

Seeing a different physio this morning (at my drs surgery), not sure its any use tbh as they just keep saying they don;t want to rock the boat before I see the consultant.

Its been a bit frosty overnight but nice and sunny atm even if its cold.

    Take care guys

Jeferey - Do you have a number of foster children that you take care of for short periods regularly? Is that for respite for the families? Made be wonder because you mentioned "hoping the FT coming this weekend will sleep through this time".
That's right red. We provide support care until the kids have been adopted or go back to a family member. We like to keep seeing the same kids as we feel it's better for everyone with some continuity of care :)

How did the physio go today CW ?

jeferey I agree that the continuity it important, esp when these kids lives are so unsettled as it is. My cousin 'adopted' a boy until he was 18 where they looked after him every other weekend to give his mother a respite break. I'd like to adopt (prob a bit rose tinted specs) but I'm not sure OH would have the patience needed.

Red hope you're doing ok after the op. Rest up.

Things here still carp - can't stand being in a situation that is both horrible and out of our control. Managed to eat today though.

    Afternoon red, kerri and Jeferey

kerri, you do sound poorly. Hope you get over it soon and can get back to normal again.

red, hope your recovering well from your op. Make sure you get plenty of rest too.

Jeferey, you and your DW do a wonderful job with the FT's etc.

I went to the physio yesterday but again told she can;t do anything till I have seen the consultant. Got to have patience now and keep doing the few simple knee exercises I was given.

    Have a great weekend guys.

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey.

Well we had a good weather weekend guys. Got washing dry on the line so well chuffed. Thats the first time we have had washing outside this year. Wanted to do some more today but its dull and cloudy and cold atm so hoping it warms up in a while.

My ds painted did some more painting over the weekend. But lots more needed to be done yet. The walls we had replastered need another coat and then all the doors/frames/skirting need at least one more coat too.

    Hope everyone is ok

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey

Well got my car back but it has to go back to the garage in a couple of weeks as they need to order a sensor and its not a Ford part. At least can use it though and just got to ignore the message coming up telling me the car needs a service.

Cold today and dull. Wish it was a bit warmer so the washing dried properly. My ds put some washing out yesterday morning but it didn;t dry much. Got more I want to do today as well so just going to get my ds to put it out anyway.

    Roll on summer.

Don;t forget to put your clocks forward on Sunday guys

Evening all. Just a quick stop by, things still 'difficult' here to say the least but we're trying to keep our chins up.

Had a lovely weekend away with friends (hen weekend - not mine) which did me the power of good.

Weather generally been good here (sorry CW). Glad the car is reasonably easy to sort. Mine has an oil leak atm, need to get it looked at when the MOT is due as I don't think it will fix itself lol!

Hello Red & Jeferey apologies for my absence of late
