Good morning red, kerri, and Jeferey

Well yesterdays weather was peculiar. Sunny day to start with, neighbour got washing dried it was so nice. By the afternoon it turned grey, windy, then came rain, sleet, snow, hail and cold.

Today we woke to everything white and shiny. White fence, white roof on garage but brilliant sunshine but feels freezing with the frost. Wonder what this afternoon will bring. lol.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Well at least today is dry even though the sky is grey. We had sunshine yesterday after the frost went, maybe we will get some sun later today but won;t hold my breath.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hey all, I'm just dropping in to say I am still alive and although I haven't been posting I am keeping tabs on you all.

Things are looking more positive here now (thank goodness) but a long way to go yet and a very busy time to get things done - fingers / toes / everything crossed and I'll fill you all in once it's (hopefully) all sorted. However due to the volume of things that need to be done, I've only been posting on a few threads sporadically - hence my absence.

Beautiful weekend weather here, replaced by rain this afternoon.

jeferey glad you are being sent for an MRI.
red how is the knee - really hope it isn't infected,
and talking about knees, how is yours CW ?

Oh, bit of news from my side, in amongst everything else, I did manage to squeeze in another 1/2 marathon the Sunday before the one just gone :) loved it (well most of it) - definitely enjoyed it more than last year and it's even got me thinking about doing another one. Knocked 5mins off my time last year on the same route, and was just off my Sept 1/2 time (which was a flatter route) so all round pleased with it. What's more, my running partner was going for a fast time so I didn't see her before the end of mile 1....so I basically did the whole thing myself, which I am really chuffed about :)

kerri it was great to hear from you. Glad your still running and managed another 1/2 marathon and even did it faster than last time. Keep it up, maybe you will try a full marathon next year. Hope all your problems get sorted soon.

Jeferey - any news re the mri scan yet.

red - how is your knee now. Hope your still pottering around.

Its been raining all night here and its cloudy and dull atm so will probably rain again shortly.

I am just doing what I can, I can walk a few paces as long as I keep my bad leg straight, but its painful and could give way so don;t do much walking at all atm. Only 3 weeks till I see the orthopaedic surgeon.

    Take care

Glad its not too long until you see the surgeon CW. In answer to your question I don't think I am ever likely to do a full marathon. Never mind the distance being something I cannot get my head round (as it, right so basically when I finish my 1/2 and want to collapse on the floor I'd be 1/2 way there) its a massive commitment to train and I don't think I realistically have the time to do so. You can get away with a 1/2 by missing some intermittent training, upping the mileage from 6 to 9 miles from one week to the next or winging it a bit for the actual race but a full marathon requires a lot more dedication and I'm sure it wouldn't be powered at the start by Percy Pigs and Red Bull like our 1/2 was lol!

Very busy day here with paperwork and meetings but things moving along now - just keep everything crossed as it's like a delicate game of jenga atm and we cannot afford for it to come crashing down.

Good morning CW, Kerri and Red :D

Yeah that's good news CW - not too long now.
Well done on the 1/2m Kerri and fingers crossed.
Hope you're keeping up with thos exercises red.

I've got my referral letter from GP now and have sent it off to hospital I'm getting it done at. I've got private healthcare at work so I'm going to take advantage of it and get a scan quickly otherwise it was at least a 4 week wait. I haven't used the health scheme until I had the physio, seemed a bit bit daft not to.

    Take care :)

kerri - I think doing even a half marathon is amazing kerri and I am sure Percy Pig was a great help. lol. Hope your problems get sorted soon.

Jeferey - good luck getting a quick mri scan. Sometimes its the only way for drs to have a good look inside to see whats going on.

We had frost again today following rain last night so the ground is really boggy atm. My ds was going to try and mow the lawn but its too bad now.

    Take care guys

Another bright sunny but cold day today. Got the physio and OT coming later on. The OT is supposed to be giving me a shower seat but we shall see what, if anything, she turns up with.

    Hope your all well.

Hi All - just a quick stop in

CW did you get your shower seat? I really hope so, small things can make such a big difference.

Mix of sunshine (mainly) and a few showers here today but not cold by any means, heating now pretty much off - yay!
