Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey
Hope you have some good news by now Jeferey re your mri scan and can now get proper treatment for your problem.
red - what a shame about the fete. Unfortunately it always seems to rain on a bank holiday. Glad your knee is recovering well.
kerri - hope your ok kerri, let us know how you are.
I went to see the consultant the other day and he said that due to my poor health there are too many risks in operating on my knee. (I already knew this as I have a lot of health issues) He said the only thing they can do is arrange some more physio with certain exercises that he will sort out and he will arrange for me to see the orthotist as well for a knee/leg support. He wants to send me to the pain clinic as well. I am to see another physio in 2 weeks at the hospital and have to wait to hear from the orthotics dept. Pretty much what I expected tbh.
Hope your all enjoying the lovely sunshine, great for drying washing.

CW Sorry it wasn't better news for you but if you get support for your leg that should make life a little easier. I would certainly recommend seeing a Pain Consultant - the one my DH has seen has been very good & they certainly seem to understand the problems that come with constant pain.
Jeferey and Kerri - any news yet?
I drove myself to the shops yesterday - whoa Freedom!! but realise that it has to be short journeys only for a while.
Feel so much happier when the sun is shining - let's hope it continues for a while.0 -
Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey
thanks red, I have to say the OT and physio who come to see me at home have been helpful. The OT has brought me a shower seat, she is going to arrange for a handle for next to the exit door, a bed rail in case its needed and a new perch stool for the kitchen. The physio is coming on Monday to give me a few more tips as I have to wait 2 weeks for my hospital physio. I also got to phone the hospital on Monday to make the appt with the orthotist. Still not heard from the pain clinic. So all in all I need to say thank goodness for the NHS cos they have been very supportive/helpful to me.
Well done on driving to the shops red, just don;t overdo it and it sounds like you will be back to normal soon.
kerri - hope your ok
Jeferey - have you had your mri results yet, they are taking there time aren;t they.
We had a storm last night but think the gardens appreciated it but back to sunshine today. Enjoy your Sunday guys

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey

Hi CW, Kerri and red. Had some problems posting on my phone, something about a token expiry - I dunno...
Anyway, I've seen doctor and my results and I've got some wear and tear on top 3 vertebrae and a disc bulge on 4th and 5th. The 4th was probably pressing on some nerves which was causing the pain. Fingers crossed it's moving back in of it's own accord but waiting to end June to see otherwise I've to see a neurosurgeon.
Take careIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Morning all.
Jeferey - glad you have your results now so you know what is happening in your back. You will have to watch your gardening and cycling so you don't aggravate the problem & allow nature to help repair things. Trouble with back problems is it can cause more pain elsewhere & I don't think we all realise how much strain we put on our spine.
CW Glad to hear things are improving for you & that what you need is being dealt with now. I agree the NHS is still a good service even if sometimes things move slowly.
Kerri - how are you - still keeping strong I hope.
Can't believe how the weeds have grown since last week with the sunshine & rain. We had covered our old vegetable patch last autumn to try and supress the mares tail which is endemic here. I went up the garden yesterday & now the covering is 9" off the ground as the weeds are just pushing up underneath it! Made me laugh until I realised the weeds are still winning!!0 -
Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey
Glad you got your results Jeferey. Just be careful to not aggravate the back problem by doing too much digging etc at your allotment. Hope the physio helps get it sorted so you don;t need surgery.
red - weeds will always win. No matter how much we try and keep the clover and dandelions under control they still come back. My ds treated the lawn the other week but I know that in a week or so another dandelion will appear. lol.
kerri - hope your ok and will soon be back to your normal self.
Take care guys

Thanks CW and red and good morning to you both and Kerri
Lovely sunny morning this morning, plants are coming along well in the greenhouse waiting to be planted at the allotment. I put some sweetcorn in at the weekend and some sweetpeas (put some of these in at home too up a trellis on side of summerhouse).
Glad to hear you've had some progress CW, hope the physio helps and the perch sounds good!
Red - Mares tail aarrgghh - never ending battle with the weeds! My trusty hoe needs a good workout.

Good morning red, kerri and Jeferey
kerri - hope everything is ok and you can come back posting to let us know your alright.
red - don't keep kneeling down doing the weeding, do the same as Jeferey and use a hoe.
Jeferey - just be careful not to make your back problem worse. Keep your back straight as mmuch as you can.
Well the weather was lovely yesterday, all washing dry, but today is colder, drizzling and grey. Wish it had stayed like yesterday as my ds cut the hedge and was going to do the weeding today.

Its been raining here nearly all day and its so cold. More like winter weather than summer.
Hope everyone is well and at least we don;t need to water our gardens/veggies etc.
