Morning CW (hope you feel better soon, the low resistance to bugs sounds like a pain :( )
Morning Kerri - I've still got purple brussels, cabbages, beetroot, leeks, parsnips, carrots and rainbow chard on the allotment but most of the plot is now being prepared for this year's growing season. I went up on my bike Friday afternoon for an hour and managed to complete the digging on the top allotment. The bottom allotment (I have 2 halves!) needs a bit of work but the raised beds I put in (from old scrap pallets from work) have finally rotten so I need to do a bit of construction.
I shan't plant anything until first week in March when the first early spuds will go in under glass but I'll be starting plenty of seeds off from next month in the conservatory until it's warm enough for them to go in the greenhouse.

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

The Boots sale is live kerri, but I am not bothering this year. Not got many points to use up either.

Well from one weathergirl to another. I thought yesterday was going to be ok and my son went to the co-op for me. He walked it as its not far and he came out to torrential rain and got soaked walking home. Now the forecast is freezing cold, frost and snow as well as some thundery rain. I think I should hibernate and wake up in Spring. lol.

Bet Jeferey's allotment is flooded with all the rain we have had

    Good morning Jeferey and kerri

Yesterday we had a little snow, hardly noticeable tbh but very cold. Today woke up to some more snow, frost as well as freezing cold. My pond is frozen over.

My ds got told he has to have another op on his foot, just got to wait for the appointment in about a month. Thats the third op all because he dropped a wheelie bin trying to get it through the snow we had a couple of years ago. it was very deep then, at least 3-4 foot deep near the garage and he struggled to get the bin past it. Luckily its only a minor op.

    Stay warm and dry guys

what a cold night it was last night. I left the heating on low and it actually came on which was a suprise. The gritters are out doing the roads again and its supposed to stay below freezing for the next 5-6 days. Looks like my gas bill will take a bit of a hammering.

So keep warm guys and be careful when you go out.

Afternoon all. It's cold and chilly here but warmer than where you are CW although we have the heating on too, I do have the washing outside though. Not sure how much it will dry but it's nice just to have it out the house for a bit.

Lazy start to th day here, been a busy week so pottering about planned and getting the house straight as it looks like a hurricane might have passed through ATM.

jeferey your allotment tales make me envious, likely no more than a few more runners for me this year as I have the seeds still.

we have snow, and quite a bit of it too. It started snowing yesterday afternoon and carried on snowing overnight. Looks to be about 4-5 inches thick but I haven;t been out in it. Cold too, its minus 4 atm outside. The sky is thick and grey so might get a bit more snow later.

Left the heating on overnight again and it did come on as the temp dropped too low.

No chance of putting washing outside here kerri. It would come in frozen solid if I put anything out and would have to be thawed before drying. lol.

    Take care guys

Afternoon all, we had a little snow / sleet last night here, nothing that really settled apart from a dusting on the cars. Went out for a run this morning with my friend though at a lake nearby and it was snowier over there - still not a lot though. Tbh as lovely as it looks I hope we don't get any, it just makes everything a pain when it comes to getting out and about. Aforementioned run not 100% successful, we ended up going out last night and I should've had a few less drinks. whoops.

Grey and overcast here ATM, going to wash a load of jumpers soon but don't think they'll be going outside, although it doesn't really feel that cold ATM.

Hope you're all wrapped up snug and warm xx

Good morning CW and Kerri :D. We too had some snow Saturday evening - enough to cover everything but not thick. FD struggled to make a snowman about 12 inches tall! It was 0°C this morning but it didn't feel that cold - strange.
At night I put our heating down to 10°C on the thermostat and I noticed ours had come on one night too CW, must have been cold!
    Take care....

The weather has defo warmed up a bit as most of the snow has melted. I still have a big pile on the lawn melting slowly though. My pond has thawed as well so good for the birds. It cold but not bitterly cold so the temp has warmed slightly but we have had a bit of rain.

Went to asda yesterday and got a few bargains. Domestos pink, The Big One is 50p atm so built up my stash again. lol. Should be £1.40

Wrap up warm when you go out guys
