    Good afternoon kerri and Jeferey

We had a quiet xmas, just the 3 of us on xmas day but had a nice restful time. After all the messing recently it was great to have some peace tbh.

Only problem round here is the flooding, my back garden was flooded again and the pond overflowed but at least my house wasn;t flooded. The main road at the top of our street flooded though but the water has gone down now. My son got through the flood water but some hadn;t got through and had to be towed out. The fields are still flooded though and as we are due more rain tomorrow it could get worse again.

    Take care guys

Glad your house was OK CW and DS didn't get stuck in it! We've missed all the storm and flooding etc.
We had a lovely day today at the seaside, me, DW and DD2 walked the dog all the way up to top end, had some fish and chips and walked back again (about 5 miles). Very busy, full of people, nice to see :D
    Hope you're ok Kerri
    Take care :)

  • Good morning kerri and Jeferey

The walk on the beach sounds lovely Jeferey. Glad the weather was good for you but didn;t your FD want to come with you.

Bet kerri is having too good a time to pop on here. lol.

The weather stayed fine yesterday so good for the flood hit areas but today we are hit by the storm so very windy and had a bit of rain today but more to come. Just hope no one gets flooded again. Rumours that there has been looting in the flood hit homes as well. Can;t believe some people could stoop so low.

    Take care

Evening all. Weather here has been windy and a bit wet but nothing compared to what people in other parts of the country have been dealing with. I've even been able to get some washing out to dry over the festive period.

Sorry I haven't been about much, I must admit after Xmas day I have really done very little apart from potter about the house, make some last min home baked Xmas gifts (one ended up badly and was rapidly replaced with hm fudge...which I'd never made before either!) and slept...lots. In fact I've barely been out but am trying to tell myself it's my bodies way of saying I needed a rest, not wastes days.

Quiet night in with OH tonight for NYE, I'm not a big fan anyway (past all the enforced 'must have fun') and we don't really 'do' house parties, actually looking forward to tidying the decs away this year, we have a lot on next year and haven't really been able to find the usual magic in Xmas this year.

Hope you're all doing something fun for NYE (or what you want to be doing anyway) and see you all over the wall in 2016 xx

Happy New Year CW and Kerri (plus anyone else lurking!) :D
We stayed in as usual, dog hates fireworks, we put her Thunderjacket on and gave her lots of cuddles to try and stop her shaking :(
Dropping DD2 off at Sainsbobs for her second last shift before she goes back to Uni.
Off on a bike ride after.
I agree CW, the looting is appealing, sounds like they've caught some of the baskets.
    Have a great 2016 guys :D

Good morning CW and Kerri (and MT of course!!).
Back to work, felt a bit wobbly yesterday, must be some kind of bug as I haven't touched a drop this year. I managed 40 mile on my bike New Years Day morning :D

    Take care :)

Good morning kerri and Jeferey and anyone else who wants to drop in

Got all my decs away yesterday, was glad to get rid tbh, they are such dust catchers. lol.

Had a quiet xmas and new year, I am defo not a party animal. Saw my family including a relative I haven;t seen for many years, so that was great.

kerri, well done on having a good rest this xmas. Thats your bodies way of saying "give me a break" so having lots of sleep was good for you.

Hope you haven;t picked up a bug Jeferey and well done on the bike ride to help get any of the usual weight gain we all put on over the xmas break.

We still have loads of chocolates and xmas goodies left too. Not sure how as I definately cut down this year but for some reason loads left. All I need to shop for is fresh foods.

Take care guys and hope the bad weather misses you. Noticed that Whitby has bad flooding again and remembered that you like it there Jeferey.

Morning CW, Kerri and red :D
Haven't seen the flooding in Whitby and yes we go there every year but we stay on a farm inland and up high so shouldn't be affected. Next going in May.
All our decs are up the loft too, just need to take down outside lights but didn't feel like it due to wobbly sensation. Still not quite right today but hopefully feel 100% soon.
    Take care :)

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

Hope you feel better soon Jeferey, your right not to go up ladders if your wobbly though, you don;t want an accident. Maybe you have an ear infection or something similar.

Its raining again and I wonder if January is going to break records like December did. Supposed to be the wetest December for 100 years or something and I can believe it, it never stops raining for long here. Yesterday was ok though, we had blue sky for a while.

    Take care guys
