Good morning kerri and Jeferey
what a cold morning. Frost everywhere and a grey sky. Supposed to be minus 3 atm. Much too cold for me so my heating is on blasting lovely warmth out.
Hope you both had a good weekend.
Have you wrote your xmas cards out. Spoke to one of my sisters and she has done hers, so got to get on this week. No more slacking.
Keep warm guys

Good morning CW and Kerri
Well, I set of in the semi-dark on my bike ride yesterday at 07:15 and managed to do 40 miles. It was 1°C. I had put a water/windproof jacket over my 2 layers of proper bike gear and a woolly cap under my helmet which stopped me getting cold apart from my toes and ends of my fingers which were a bit chilly at times so not too bad. Went pretty much uphill for the first half and the sun came out for a bit so lovely views and bit easier coming back.
Xmas cards - I don't do any at work - put money in charity instead. Do a few cards for family but DW gets most of those.
We had a good frost this morning, glad my car is in the garage so no scrapingIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Good morning kerri and Jeferey
We have a brick garage but its full of stuff so the car has to stay on the drive, but my ds parks it right down the side of the house so it does get some protection from the frost luckily so no scraping for us either.
We got so much rain yesterday, it was terrible, windy, icy rain, rotten day. Supposed to be dry this morning though.
Want to write a few cards that go abroad this week and wrap a parcel that needs to be posted as well. Will send it early to get it out of the way.

DW got me to write out a few cards last night - she's so organised!
Rubbish journey home last night - 15 minutes slower than normal due to an accident on the M1
Driving to work and back in the dark now for a few months. Glad I car share
Sunny here todayIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Good morning kerri and Jeferey
Car share is great, saves on fuel costs, and can be nice to have a natter on the way, especially if the traffic is bad. Very mse Jeferey. lol.
It wasn;t supposed to be dry yesterday morning, but it rained and its still raining. Can;t believe it can rain so much. My garden is like a bog atm it so waterlogged.
Toss up today, write some cards or make a xmas cake. decisions, decisions. or do neither and do some washing instead and some housework.
Take are guys

Morning All, work been manic again and its been all I can do to keep up with that and fit in a bit of sport too.
Well after that cold snap it seems to have gotten somewhat milder again, was out running in a vest again this week (well obv not JUST a vest !)
Have despatched a couple of xmas gifts here and have a couple wrapped ready to send. Only one card done so far, which was to the out laws as OH is visiting them for a few days so he's taken that with him. I did manage to locate the cards I had in stock though, and also got a free pack from WH Smith with O2 so plan to write some out this weekend.
Actually felt a bit guilty yesterday, basically got nearly £9 worth of things from WH Smith for free with O2 - but I did give the lollies and choc coins I got to the local food bank so I figured that I was sharing some of that around and hope they make someone smile at xmas.
Sorry to hear about the long commute jeferey - that is a bonus to wfh for me, but I always try and remind myself whilst cursing traffic due to accidents that I am more fortunate than those in the accident.
Speaking of cars, my battery died on me this week so had to get jump started by the recovery folks (luckily I was at home when it happened so not stranded) and then off to get a new one. Still, it was the original car battery so it did a good stint and I would rather it happened a) when I was at home than out b) now rather than in the depths of winter.
Nearly the weekend!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning CW, Kerri and Red
You seem to be getting everyone's share of the rain CW
On my last car the battery lasted over 7 years before it gave up the ghost, I thought that was pretty good. My commute is only just over 20 miles and in a morning at 06:30 it's only just over 30 minutes, it's the going home at the minute which is taking nearly an hour - I blame the dark, the cold and the people going Christmas shopping but like CW says it's no so bad with the car sharing, I won't be driving at all next weekWell done on the WH Smith freebies Kerri.

Good morning kerri and Jeferey
Talking of car batteries. I used to have a ford escort which was a great car, except for one thing. As the car got older it hated being cold and wouldn;t start in the mornings. The number of times we had to either jump start it or push start it on a hill to get it going.
Wet day again, rain, rain, and more rain, just like yesterday. Think the entire contents of the North Sea is raining down over the Northwest. lol.
Got to go to drs this morning with my poorly knee. The dr said its arthritis and gave me ibuprofen which is upsetting my stomach.
Keep warm and dry guys, especially when your out for a run kerri, you don;t want to get a cold.

Sorry to hear about your knee CW. I get pain in my knees sometimes and wear a support bandage when I'm on my bike. Hoping to go for a ride this afternoon if the rain holds off.
Have a great weekend CW, Kerri and RedIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Managed a 25 miler Friday - would have been more but got a puncture so had to swap inner tube at roadside (I keep a spare plus repair kit on me!).
Sat/Sun, me and DW went to Lincoln for an overnight stay. Had a lovely time, some super meals and great room. Got quite a few xmas pressies too, feel like we're quite organised this year
DD1 & BF wanted to get basic Sky for her new house so I recommended them. We both got £125 pre-paid Mastercard so I used ours to pay for the room and a meal + drinks - result!
Back to work today and it hasn't stopped raining
I've done the AMEX Gold card again for the 3rd time and have almost hit the threshold to get another £100 plus cashback for taking it out . We will be using the 2 free lounge passes at Manchester airport when we go in March and then I'll cancel the card again ready for next timeThe Shop Small scheme is coming again on 5th Dec so I'll definitely make use of that again - flowers for DW etc. and get £5 back for every £10 I spend - half price goodies here i come :rotfl: It's great having more than one card as retailers seem to be quite happy to put £10 on one and £10 on another. Last year I bought something for DD1 and DD2 for £9.99 and told them to charge me £10 :T
Hope you are all OKIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0
