Afternoon CW, Kerri & red :D

I've been on holiday so been busy lol. Went to Coronation Street Studio Tour Monday and even as a non-soap watcher it was very good. We've got a photo of us all at the pumps in the Rovers Return.
Hope you finally get sorted soon CW, the wardrobe saga seems to be going on and on.... :(
Nice to see you back posting red :)

Evening all! sorry for being AWOL these past few days, I was away on business with work over in the US. Back now though. Hives not 100% cleared up but much better than they were and at last managing to get some sleep.

Sorry to hear the wardrobe saga is still continuing CW its beyond frustrating when you take all the time to carefully plan something like that only for workmen to totally screw up all your hard work. Its good to hear that the company is at least taking your complaint seriously though and don't seem to be dragging their heels on it. What did the decorator say about fixing the paper?

Very autumnal here though quite mild - which is frustrating as if it were dry I could get the washing out. Oh well, can't have it all.

Back at the gym stuff now at least - need to be as I think I spent a large proportion of my time away eating :o

Evening all. Been miserable here today - that really annoying drizzle all day.
Looks as though we might have better weather at the weekend while we are away.
Not surprised you might have to exercise Kerri if you have spent time in the US- it's almost impossible not to eat too much there. I expect both you and Jeferey will be burning the calories - I just feel tired reading about the exercise you two do.
For the last hour, I have been getting to grips with a Nexus tablet that my daughter gave me at Xmas 2012!!! I just couldn't be bothered to use it as I much prefer my PC. I know she was very disappointed with me as she thought I would use it all the time.

As I was poorly last week Red I'm not beating myself up too much about the lack of exercise and amount of food. And my pancake breakfast and lobster roll dinner were heaven on a plate (two of my favs). Since I was back at boot camp this morning, and had an hour of pole tonight I think it's allowable once in a while.

You're right about the miserable drizzly rain - cat came in soaked earlier and hasn't budged from her blanket since, except to eat and growl at the neighbours kitten as it came up to the french doors.

Good morning, kerri, Jeferey and red.

What miserable weather again today, rain, cold and grey. Makes you long for some sunshine.

The decorator is coming next week to paint the ceiling and to try and repair the damaged wall so at least you can;t see the black marks on it, the wallpaper is white and silver so black marks stand out a mile. He didn;t hold out much hope tbh of a perfect repair job though.

The fitter is coming to fix the 2 shelves next Wednesday. So my wardrobe saga carries on.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the US kerri and your holiday too Jeferey, sounds like you both had a good time.

Hi CW tbh i would be tempted to request the entire wardrobe is removed so the decorator can repaper and then the wardrobe correctly fitted - all at the cost of the company. I would be extremely cross and upset if after all the planning and £ spent the job wasn't as it should have been due to the error of the wardrobe company.

Can't believe this time last week I hadn't even flown out to the US, being back at boot camp, pole and yoga already makes it feel like I've crammed about 2 weeks into one.

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

kerri, I did think of that, but it would take hours to remove the wardrobe. Then wait for the decorator and then do a refit, again taking hours. I would hate to have that mess again. The decorator said he couldn;t repaper as there just isn;t enough room to get paper in so he cannot guarantee if he tried it that the paper won;t start to come away or curl up. I can;t win basically.

Foggy this morning too, looks like a cold and damp day today.

Keep up the good work Jeferey, your certainly getting the miles in. You and kerri and fitness fanatics. :D

CW for the benefit in the long run I think I'd still make them remove it all and have the decorator do his stuff. I totally understand it's not what you wanted or planned though. What did the decorator suggest if he can't re paper the damaged area?

Certainly foggy here tonight, real autumnal weather.

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

kerri, the decorator didn;t hold any hope of repapering the wall. He didn;t know what to suggest tbh. The cupboard is in an alcove. Nearly all the damaged wallpaper is actually hidden by the sliding door fittings, just half an inch is showing. I had asked the decorator if he can replace the last piece of paper which goes into the alcove but as the return is only half an inch the decorator says the paper might come loose especially as the sliding doors will be being used a lot and peeling paper looks awful.

He said he could paint the whole wall at the side of the cupboards but it would look different to the rest of the room then so I don;t want that. My wallpapering was only done in August and the room was empty after that tille the cupboards were fitted in October so its had no use. The paper is white with fine silver strands in and I don;t want to go over it.

Under the sliding door frame the wallpaper is badly ripped but you can;t see any of that at all, you can only see it when the frame is removed.

Its been foggy here since Sunday, it was really bad yesterday you could only just see across the road. Today is just slightly misty so that might go as the day warms up a bit.

    CWxx
