Turned out nice yesterday so all washing dried and put away. Lawns mowed and some weeding done.

Won;t get much done today, someone is coming to give me a quote for fitted wardrobes this morning and drs this afternoon.

I still have my old bike CW but it's more suited to off road than my new one so I'm going to keep it.

Going to Lincoln with DW tomorrow after lunch for an overnight stay in a hotel. Hope the weather holds up......

Hope he weather is ok for your trip to Lincoln today, its dull and cloudy here and we are due rain later. Not been much of a summer has it.

Got to go out and pay the plumber for removing and re-fitting the radiator in the bedroom. He didn;t ask for immediate payment just sent the bill in the post. Also got to take some curtains back, just not quite the right shade to match my wallpaper.

Got to run a few errand sthis morning and get back before lunch. We are on a weather warning again for torrential rains and thunderstorms this afternoon. Wanted to do some gardening but not chance today.

The thunderstorm we should have got yesterday afternoon didn;t have till the evening. We had rain, thunder and lightning but no where near as bad as forecast. Today we have lovely blue skies, sunshine and its already warm. Might get a bit of gardening in this morning.

We also had the thunder and lightning late evening after a boiling hot day. DW and I had a lovely time in Lincoln, met a nice couple from Oxford and chatted in the hotel's garden until it got dark at 9pm. Breakfast was excellent and called in at a home of rest for horses on the way back. Lovely hot day today, had a BBQ for lunch. Going to my parent's for a homemade lasagne later mmmm!

Yesterday was lovely, blue skies, sunshine, bit windy but that helped dry all my washing. Unfortunately around 3 the sun disappeared and before we knew it we had torrential rain for a few hours.

Still we got a bit of grdening done in the morning. My ds cut down an old conifer, only 3 more to go, and took all the branches to the tip. The roots still need some digging up but the weather changed so it couldn;t be done yesterday. The kitchen is much lighter now the conifer isn;t there as it was much too close to the house.

Good afternoon guys

All the conifers are now down and my ds and dh have made the 3rd trip to the tip. Now they have to dig out as much of the roots as they can. Going to level it all off and will put some turf down when its all clear, though might have to put some weed killer and some tree root killer stuff down before we can turf.

Hi Cw and Kerri. Getting ready for next break. Finish work tomorrow and not back until next Wednesday so me and DW are off to Buxton for a couple of nights this time

Tree roots can be a right pain CW, good luck!
