    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

Thanks Jeferey, I am feeling a bit better now so am going out today.

Got the radiator put back on yesterday and after the plumber had gone I noticed he has put pencil marks on my nice new wallpaper. Tried to get it off using an eraser and it didn;t budge. So annoyed as its white wallpaper so it does stand out a bit.

Where has this year gone, its September in just over 2 weeks.

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

Managed to find the exact lampshade I wanted yesterday but still no curtains. I want a teal/duck egg blue pair of washable curtains. Don;t want dry clean ones. Will have to keep looking.

Gorgeous weather yesterday, got all my washing dry and it looks like being nice today too. But tomorrow is a different kettle of fish as we have a weather warning for a serious storm hitting us.

    Hope your all well.

Afternoon CW and Kerri. DD2 got her A level results and she's done brilliantly. She needed A B B for her teaching degree place and she got A A A*.
    Fantastic :j:j:j

Overcast in Sheffield and we are forecast a month's rain in 36 to 48 hours starting this afternoon :( - oh well, at least I won't need to water the allotment :p

Wow Jeferey, well done to your DD2 on her results. What fabulous results she got, you must be so pleased with her. Is this the DD that just passed her driving test too.

We have rain atm, so good weather for ducks and allotments, but not for me so I am stopping in today. There is always housework to keep me occupied. lol.

I did want to do the garden but it wasn;t to be. I realised that some plants I cut down a few weeks ago are as big as they were before I gave them the axe so it needs doing again. I also spotted a big weed growing right in the middle of the Buddleia (sp) which I wanted out. Just been too busy sorting the bedroom to do the gardening.

    Have a great weekend guys

That's right CW and she's had her Uni place confirmed too. She's just considering whether to "trade-up" to a different Uni. I hope she sticks with her original choice......
It had only been spitting a bit yesterday evening so I quickly gave the grass a cut before the predicted deluge - it chucked it down last night and was still raining this morning but stopped at moment so well worth doing :D.
Good morning to you and Kerri and you enjoy your weekend too :)

Evening both, sorry I've been AWOL for a bit.

Massive congrats on your DD a-level result jeferey amazing achievement. Has she decided about her uni choice yet?

Well done on the lampshade cw in answer to your question, yes it was a white gloss IKEA wardrobe we had issues with. Well it was white gloss doors and oak frame. We made the mistake of putting together the four outer parts (top, bottom and sides) with the wardrobe on its side then trying to lift it up, so there was nothing holding it square and the long side pulled the top and bottom sections out of place damaging some of the fixing holes. After a tantrum by me we tired again the next weekend. Built it face down (without the doors on) ans with the aid of some wood glue for the joints and damaged fixings, then put the back on and lifted it up that way. Much better and what we should've done in the first place. Doors on, bits I thought were scuffs were just some marks that came off with nail polish remover and its sitting pretty in the spare room now, nice and solid.
Got it off fleabay (luckily just round the corner as we drove it home with the pieces hanging out the boot). It's from the pax range so a good variety of internal options.

This is the similar range in John Lewis http://www.johnlewis.com/house-by-john-lewis-mix-it-t-bar-handle-double-wardrobe-gloss-white-natural-oak/p232442418

Hi Kerri, DD2 really wanted to go to Durham but didn't get an oofer there - her predicted grades probably let her down as her actuals were so much better. She's got a confirmed place at Sheffield Hallam to do Primary Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) which has got to be a bonus as it means she can get a teaching job after only 3 years :D Also it's only 20 miles away so after her first year in halls (to get the Uni experience) she can live at home and keep the costs down :) Looking at the Uni League tables it's in the top 1/3 for her course.

    Afternoon kerri and Jeferey

Well done to your DD2 for getting such high grades and passing her driving test the same year. Agree would be great if she could live at home after the first year, would save so much money and reduce her student loan and it would be so much easier as mum would make her meals etc.

Much safer too. My niece has just finished uni. Last year she was in a shared rented house. One of the girls went out and didn;t lock the front door one evening and someone came in and stole things from most of the rooms. They stole my niece's laptop with all her work on and it devastated her.

    That's awful CW :(

Hope you and Kerri both had a great weekend. :D
We went out for a birthday lunch for FIL yesterday, a sprightly 83
I managed to pick up a nearly new bike on Gumtree for nearly half the price when new for my birthday which is next weekend :D
Got a nice crop of courgettes, potatoes, carrots, beetroot, French beans (cobra) and salad yesterday from the allotment :). Biked it there with FD.

    Good morning kerri and Jeferey

Was your old bike cream crackered Jeferey, is that why you needed a new one, hope it has a basket on so you can bring home all your veggies from the allotment. lol.

That particular niece has just finished uni, got another niece going back for her final year next month. A third niece is starting uni for the first time this year and will be living in halls for the first year.

Dull today but supposed to be dry so might get my washing out on the line.
