Hope the weather brightens up a bit for you Jeferey. Its raining here and rained yesterday.

My poor dh is going from job to job depending on the weather. He is emptying my room etc but is also building shelving in the garage (to hold my stash) but as its raining he can;t do it today. Needs to built it on the patio first.

Just had to even sign in again even though hadn;t signed out. Whats going on, ?


Anyway, hope your all well. Got a plasterer coming to replaster the bedroom including reboarding the ceiling next week. Now got to empty the bedroom for him, nightmare, why do we keep things we don't use/wear. So got to sort things and throw things out. Found a t shirt yesterday in my cupboard, nice t shirt, but it has paint on it. Bin it. So got the bin liners handy as got to get on today so they can take some fitted wardrobes out tomorrow.

Things continue in the mad house. Got most of the fitted wardrobes out now, need to finish it today. Then got to remove the wallpaper from behind one of the wardobes as well. Wow, the dust behind one row of fitted wardrobes, filled my vacuum cleaner it did.


Got a plumber to remove the radiator ok but having trouble getting an electrician to fit a couple of new sockets before the walls are plastered.

Not sleeping well with all the stress. You can probably tell I am not a happy bunny.

Last day to sort out the bedroom before the plasterer comes tomorrow. Got to remove the last of the furniture, take out the carpet and underlay and put plastic sheeting on the floor. Then need to take down the curtains and curtain rail which will probably loosen more plaster as it was put on using no nails.

Then to clean the walls down from top to bottom and clean off a bit of mould near the window. Need to find an electrician yet to put in another socket asap too.

Busy day ahead.

Good morning kerri and Jeferey, you two are busy bees atm.

My plasterer is here and the mess will get worse. Lots of loose plaster to remove as well. Electrician not coming till tomorrow morning. and to top it all its pouring down. Oh well, gotta go guys.

Morning CW and Kerri. On holiday near Whitby at the moment. Had a bit of rain yesterday afternoon but managed to have a good walk round the town in the morning before it came down. Forecast not too good for today but after that it's picking up again.

Hope you get out of your mess soon CW.

Evening all! Sorry I've been AWOL, I was away with work last week in the US and came back a) totally shattered b) with loads to do. Only just feel I'm getting over the jet lag but my email inbox is like the magic porridge pot atm. On the upside, I was in the US over a weekend and we got to go watch some whales which was fab.

Tomatoes are fruiting (even though they keep getting blown over) and beans are flowering again though none big enough to eat yet. Think my first harvest was just an early taster.

Hope the DIY is going ok CW how's the toe now?

Right, which of you two is putting me up for a week. lol. The noise of banging, hammering, drilling, things dropping is terrible. Gave me a right headache yesterday. The electrician came and I told him where the new sockets were going and left him to it. Went back 45 mins later and he had put a socket in the wrong place, it would have been in a wardrobe so it had to be moved 2 foot to the right. So the drilling of plaster and bricks started again. On the positive side we nearly have a new ceiling. Anyway, plasterer due back again in an hour and the racket starts again.

Jeferey think the weather is starting to improve so you might have a few nice days before you go home.

kerri - well jealous, a trip to USA and went whale watching, love whales, it must have been amazing.
