Good morning guys
Grey skies today but no frost and no gales. My dh and ds gave our lawn its first cut last Wednesday but the borders need a good tidy up. I want to do that but am still a bit too chesty (the polite way of saying I am coughing for England still) so will have to wait a bit longer.
Glad your grass seeds have germinated Jeferey, they were quick compared to mine last year.

Morning CW, yeah, really pleased
.
There seems to be a lot of bad coughs going round. I've had one for over 6 weeks now, had antibiotics, chest X-Ray, breathing test, anti-histamine and nothing has touched it. Best thing I've found is Jakeman's throat & chest menthol sweets :rotfl:
Hope you're better soon CW, I'm hoping mine is on the way out now.
Kerri I haven't done a car boot in years but £80 sounds pretty good for stuff you might have thrown away or given to charity shop

Hi I'm not sure where to ask this question. So if in wrong place please move.
How do I find out when an offer price in Tesco is due to end without going into the store please?

Hi CW is now a good time to say it's been about 22 degrees and sunny here today? no, thought not!
Keeping a beady eye on my runner bean seeds which seem to be doing zero but its only been (no pun intended) a week.
Hope those coughs go away for you and Jeferey
You're right Jeferey was a good haul given it was stuff we no longer needed / wanted - my friend is using hers to pay off her holiday so I'm glad she made what she did.
Waiting for someone to come and collect something from Freecycle now - wish she'd hurry up, football on soon and I want to bake.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning guys
kerri don't know where you live hun but send some of that heat to me please, it did reach 13 degrees here yesterday so was a bit better but not as good as your temp.
Thats why I keep blaming the weather for my chesty cough, had antibitoics and steroids and still coughing. Supposed to go back to the dr but not made an appointment yet. Not tried Jakemans sweets Jeferey, actually got some Fishermans friends though.
Hope the freecycle collector turned up kerri so you could get your baking done, more muffins was it. lol.

Morning Kerri, CW and everyone else
I'm sure your beans will come up soon Kerri, you've reminded me I need to get some beans and peas in
I think I'm actually coughing less - hope so. Hope yours goes soon CW, this one has been a bit of a pig! I'm not keen on the taste of fisherman's friends  :rotfl:some_time_soon wrote: »Hi I'm not sure where to ask this question. So if in wrong place please move.

CW i'm in the sunny south east - sat out in the garden for lunch today and I think it was about 25 degrees. My car actually measure 29 before that but that was where it was say out in the sun.
My OH takes Jakemans when he has a cough. He also swears by a teaspoon of bicarb and a slice of lemon in water (hot or cold) - can add honey too if you like. Supposed to work for everything.
Lady came right on schedule yesterday - though would've been better if her 4 kids weren't in the car as we really needed to put the seats down to get it in - still managed ok (by propping it over the seats and telling the kids to duck!). So banana and choc loaf baked, and HM hummus blitzed (yummy it is too).
just being impatient about the seeds Jeferey Need to get my toms going at the weekend - said after last years failed crop I wouldn't bother again, but 49p per packet, I was persuaded.
Think i have a virus too, woke up last night freezing cold and shivering uncontrollably, everything seemed to ache too no matter how I lay - can only describe it like the feeling of growing pains, which I'm fairly sure it isn't at my age! Had a rash come up on my neck / shoulders too briefly but that's gone down as suddenly as it came up. Very odd.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning guys
Yesterday was a miserable day, it drizzled all day nearly but today is marginally better so far. We went shopping yesterday and is was 9 degrees in the car, what a difference to your weather kerri. Your banana and choc loaf sounds good, was it as nice to eat as it sounds.:)
Hope your bug goes as quick as it came. Maybe the rash was a heat rash caused by your temperature. Hope you feel better soon anwyay.

Glad your cough seems to be going Jeferey. Not too keen on the fishermans friends but thought I would try them to see if they helped.:rotfl:Roll on summer to chase all the viruses/germs/bugs away.

I saw the weather forecast yesterday Kerri and it definitely looked like a country of 2 halves! We were right on the border between hot and cold. It was cloudy in Sheffield where I work but warm but DW was sitting in the sun in the garden where I live 20 miles to the East. Get well soon.
