Jeferey, your planting enough spuds to feed an army. lol.

kerri, I would use the recycling tubs you had last year and as they are a bit ugly which not put something like log roll around them to disguise the tubs.

trust me, the tubs are quite ugly really - and heavy when filled. My friend has some pots which were left behind when they moved into their house so she said I could take some :money:

Beans getting bigger by the day , and oddly another one seems to have sprouted in a pot - I say odd because I only planted 4 seeds and this is a 5th plant

    Good morning Jeferey and kerri

Its a gorgeous day again. I got loads of washing dry yesterday including a duvet I washed and it dried, was pleased I didn;t need to take it to the launderette to wash as it only just fit in my washer.

Also we could have the windows open to let the paint smell out.

Going shopping this morning and then my ds will carry on with painting.

:rotfl: I usually start digging the first ones up beginning of June when we get back from a week's holiday abroad and we have only just used the last ones up at the weekend so nearly 10 months without buying a potato
We quite often have a house full and I don't think you can go wrong with a good jacket potato - I like mine with melted cheese :D

    Morning everyone :D

Wow, 10 months is amazing, and what a money saver too.

I like jacket potato too, made them the other day with a sausage casserole and they were delish.:):):)

Yes CW and although I'm biased I reckon they taste better too!
I think I'm cultivating a tray of weeds as the things that have popped up don't look like peppers :rotfl:
Morning CW and Kerri and anyone else lurking ;):D

Hope you have a good, if a bit wet, weekend.

Will you hate me if I said we were forecast hail this afternoon....and my washing is currently out drying in the sun :o

I'll have you know weed salad is going to be the next big thing Hugh FW says so :rotfl:

Been out for a run this morning (first proper since the 1/2m) managed to time it to coincide with the local park run, which uses some of the same route we do. Ended up with the elite runner section :rotfl: well until they passed us, then had to explain to the course marshals that we weren't with the run when we wanted to go another way ...only us!

Hope everyone is managing to enjoy the weekend, even if the weather is iffy in places. X

Weather has been better than forecast, had a torrential downpour yesterday afternoon but suny in between. Forecast says wall to wall sun for today :D
My peas have sprouted :j, sowed some french beans, sweetcorn, courgettes and butternut squash yesterday at home and put another 28 potatoes in at the allotment.

    Morning everyone :D

Afternoon all, grey and a bit overcast here today but not too bad all in all.

My beans are growing well still, left them out overnight, mainly because we went to the pub and I forgot to bring them in due to one too many drinkys. My mum has also given me some lily of the valley and a fuschia to plant out (yes I know I can't eat those lol). One of my tomato seeds also seems to be sprouting, which is quite quick as I only planted them last weekend. Fingers crossed for a good summer season.

Our wisteria is also waking up, I was really careful pruning it to the gardening guide this year so I'm hoping it flowers well, I love the smell of it.

Jeferey, do you have any recommendations of what I could still sow now that doesn't need a ton of space to grow?
