Woke up to sunshine and blue skies but can see by the wet paving that its been raining overnight. Need to do some weeding and tidying in the garden but lawn might be bit too wet to walk on.
Jeferey your FT certainly slept well, 12 hours is great. Have you found out what she "planted" yet, were they weeds.
kerri your tomato's will catch up in their own good time, bet they get a sudden growth spurt soon.

Nothing beats a 12hr sleep, I've never been one of thexe people who can go without. Shame as we get older there seems to be less opportunity though.
Hope I haven't killed some of my toms, after I planted out my beans I went to move the toms to a larger pot, thinking the soil would stay as one, but it didn't and I had to delicately move the little plants into their new home.
Was really windy here yesterday and last night so need to check beans that were out are ok...I did secure them to their canes with old tights though so fingers crossedFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Sorry Kerri, I've put 14 in greenhouse today! Sunk them into compost a bit:
Been a lovely day, had about 4 hours on allotment this morning (got there before 7am), then spent some time in the garden with family then parents and in-laws cam for late afternoon and a bite to eat.If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Yes thanks for that Jeferey
Wow, before 7am at the alotment, that's early. Bet you weren't the only one there either. Your greenhouse looks lovely too from what I see of it, is that a bed set into the greenhouse itself? Fingers crossed my little toms will turn out some crops this year, past couple of years I've been a bit rubbish with tomatoes, though I think a) mixed Weser last year didn't help, b) some of the seeds I was given from freecycle weren't exactly the freshest (bad workman always blames his tools though lol).
Sunny here today right up until about an hour ago, OH took me out for lunch which was nice. Can't beleive another bank holiday is over again already.
CW how's your troublesome window these days?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good morning guys
Was fairly nice yesterday, we had sunshine almost all day, not the warmest of days but not freezing cold either. Today, now is a different matter. We have grey skies and rain, What you would call good weather for ducks. lol.
kerri - my window is still iffy. It does appear to be drying out but we have a damp meter and some parts of the plaster, though it looks drier still registers quite high on the damp meter. We wrote in pencil the readings in various places so we can check. We really need a lot of hot dry weather to really get it dry I think as I reckon the cavity wall insulation could be wet and that might explain why its not drying all that well. So roll on summer.

Thanks Kerri. Yes I've created 2 beds either side of a paved central path. I built a raised base, dug out the beds, put down weed suppressing fabric and filled them back in with some soil and then loads of compost.
I love the greenhouse, it's an Alton Evolution 8, it's made out of red western cedar and has double doors.
The bottle at the front is full of diluted 'worm juice' :rotfl:. I have a wormery with a tap and use a diluted mixture on the toms and other plants in the greenhouse.

jeferey I have no idea about greenhouses but yours sounds lovely, I always think of the metal framed ones and spotted the cedar in your photo. gives it some real charm. I did also spy the bottle, wondered what it was...think I preferred ignorance :rotfl:
I have some tomorite my mum gave me for when my toms are bigger, but would like to grow organic. Mine currently have some tea leaves but we do have horses that go past the front of the house and leave the odd 'deposit' perhaps I'll go collect some next time :rotfl:
Been blowing a gale here for the past 24hrs, inspected my beans outside earlier and they seem to have weathered the storm - mainly thanks to me double tieing them with to their canes with tights.
Hope the window dries out soon CW if its not getting worse, that's gotta be a positive after last yearFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Morning Kerri and thanks
- the odd "deposits" might be a bit fresh IYKWIM, collect it and let it "rest" for a bit. you probably know that already! I don't use any chemicals - I like to know what I'm eating
Morning CWI hope the window dries out soon too - it could well be the cavity like you say. Come on sun!

Good morning Jeferey and kerri
I can remember my late father buying seaweed liquid to put on the garden, don;t know if was any good though.
Looks like a nice'ish day today. Sunshine so far though there are a few clouds up there. Hope it stays dry for a change.
