Morning kerri and Jeferey
You two have been busy planting your veggies and flowers and Jeferey your making good use of your new greenhouse as well.
We woke up to thick frost again but the sun is shining and it should melt soon. Still cold though.

Morning CW and KerriJeferey, do you have any recommendations of what I could still sow now that doesn't need a ton of space to grow?
Great news on the tomato and beans just make sure you take them in on a cold night like last night, we had a frost!
Beetroot is a good one, lots of lettuce & salad leaves that you can "cut and come again", also rocket is a good one, radish doesn't take up much room and grows quickly. I even grow some carrots in a small raised bed at home - it's great to be able to pull a few fresh ones up and use them straight away. Herbs are good too, I always do some basil, mint (in pots) and maybe rosemary.

No frost here but have still been bringing things in at night. Tomatoes deff sprouting now too.
Picked up the pots from my friend today and they're perfect for my garden, can see how she prob wouldn't like them in hers, but we have a blue fence and these are glazed in different colors (blue / green / deep purple) so will go really well in the garden. Weather permitting will try and plant some stuff up at the weekend.
Thanks for the tips Jeferey, I won't be planting radishes as I don't like them much lol! We have a massive rosemary bush already (very leggy but don't have the heart to dig it up) I think I have some herb seeds somewhere. We used to have mint but I managed to kill it.
Perahps I'll put a fruit bush in or something next year - bit late now but our raise bed is full with established mainly evergreen shrubs and bushes (tis a big bed and 30cm if not more raised) so it can be hard to add anything new that doesn't look odd.
Kinda enjoying the garden this year, poss because we've had such nice weather early in the year (sorry CW) and because I feel a lot of the heavy jobs to replace things and paint the fence etc have now been done so we can focus on more fun things like plants.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

The pots sound great Kerri. I know what you mean about being able to enjoy the garden more. Now I've finished lifting the fence panels up 6 inches, painting them, removed trampoline, put down new raised patio, removed old greenhouse, put new raised base in, built new greenhouse, put a tonne of new top soil down and sowed grass seed it's time to enjoy it! :rotfl:

Morning kerri and Jeferey
you two certainly love your gardens but Jeferey all that work sounds exhausting.:rotfl:You must be worn out.
I have raised beds in my garden but they just have shrubs in. I need something that pretty much looks after itself, ie not labour intensive, so stick to things that can be planted and I just have to do a bit of weeding once a month.
My ds managed to fix my lawnmower yesterday, he had to replace the switch, so he quickly did the lawn, good job as it rained in the afternoon and its raining now too. Funny how you can get blue sky, sunshine and rain all in one. lol.

Our front lawn is looking like a meadow again - oh well, no time atm to do it and then it's going to rain so it's just gonna have to wait.
Jeferey - if you fancy a bit more hard labour in the garden, feel free to come find something to do in mine...OH now wants a waterfall for the pond!
Sunny and dry here today but cold in the wind. Spent this evening baking buns - on their second prove now before going in the oven. What idiot bakes buns on a school night I don't know lol!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Was up at 7am icing the b*ggers and whipping cream. I do enjoy baking, well cooking in general and am getting better with dough - but a lot of it is finding the time and its such a disappointment when you spend hours making dough and it doesn't quite go to plan. BUT, in this case, they went down a storm. Both were yummy (I had to sample some of each) and I'm getting a lot more confident. Application for bake off not quite in the post yet but one day perhapsOnly thing is I'm going to have to get my bum out running / boot camping asap before that doubles in size like my dough :rotfl:
Cold and raining this morning, but sunny this afternoon, beans now out for the days (forgot to bring them in last night) and my little toms are sprouting, though I seem to be 3 down, planted 10 seeds and only 7 have popped up - should really be enough though a little concerned if I lose any more over the season so might put a few more in this weekend when I plant my beans to bigger pots.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
