    Good morning guys

We got the gales as well Jeferey, it was so noisy in the night we didn;t get much sleep with the neighbours bins blowing all over. My garden is well flooded, at least 20 foot of garden is under water atm so hope your new plants have survived.

    Take care guys

Sorry to hear about the return of the flooding CW.

All my new plants and seeds are in the conservatory so they are fine. I was concerned about the grass seed I'd put down but it looks ok, time will tell!

    Morning everyone :D

    Morning guys

Thanks Jeferey. The flooding has gone down again. Its a high water table here and even though we had land drains put in years ago the garden still floods when we get such heavy rain. Today is supposed to be dry so hopefully the garden will dry off a bit as its very boggy, too boggy to walk on atm.

Well the grass seeds sounds as though they are well watered in anyway. We just need some warmer weather to help them germinate and give you a lawn again.

Hope everyone is ok after the gales. My son checked our roof etc and couldn;t see any damage but the house facing us has roof damage to tiles and a couple of ridge tiles as well.

    Good morning guys

What a change in the weather. Yesterday was lovely, warm, sunny, still and peaceful in the back garden. Got 5 loads of washing dried and we had the windows open and it was really nice.

Today we are back to grey clouds and rain, lots of it. Why couldn't it stay nice for Easter.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend, or in Jeferey's case, a lovely Easter week. lol.

Happy Easter everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the break.

Glad the wind has gone but pretty damp and miserable here.

CW 5 loads of washing - wow!! Are you one of those good people who iron it as soon as it comes indoors or like me let it pile up on the spare bed?

We had a lovely weekend in Cirencester last weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. Visited 3 National Trust places in the area - all totally different. We treated ourselves to Life Membership when we both retired which was a really good deal and I wouldn't want to pay some of the current admission prices on a regular basis.

    Good morning everyone.

Its drizzly at the moment so not great for Easter, but could be worse.

redaglia - ironing, whats that. lol. I avoid ironing like the plague, I hate it so much and only do whats necessary. Glad you had a lovely weekend away last week, sounds as though you made the most of your trip.

So Happy Easter to you all, have a great weekend.

Afternoon all. Was rainy here yesterday too but not too bad now.

Was out last night, so recovering today (whoops) was going to be going up to London but all the rail services in / out for us are affected by signalling works so it would have been replacement buses whatever way we went so knocked it on the head. Planning to get out into the garden tomorrow, looking forward to it.

We went to see our 5 year old GTGD in her first dance school show last night - of course, we thought she was great! This school has a very good reputation in the town and the standard last night was excellent.

They did a complete range of dances - tap, ballet, modern and one item of Irish dancing like Riverdance was fantastic. I've sat through other amateur shows when I have volunteered at our local theatre but this one surpassed any of them. I suppose it shows why the school has been going for 60 years.
