Good morning Jeferery and anyone else around.

Poor dog, hope she is ok. Vets charge a small fortune as well so its such an expensive job. Hope the new vets can tell you whats wrong with her.

Watched the eclipse, sorry Jeferey, was a bit cloudy but it helped to see it.

Cold today so far but got to go shopping, kitchen is getting low on a few things.

Take care all and have a good weekend.

I totally forgot about the eclipse, was working at home and wondered why it was so ruddy dark, put the light on then I remembered  I always seem to miss theses things, was in the toilets at Hyde park when the Olympics was announced as closed, and in a lift in asia when we got the after tremors of an earthquake so didn't notice a thing :o

Afternoon all. Bought a new car today. Gave me slightly more than what I wanted for my 9 year old one :).
Dog had a jab and got some antibiotics, 'only' £35 so not too bad!

    Good morning guys

Was a lovely sunny day yesterday and I spent the whole time in bed/throwing up/bad dizziness/headache feeling rotten.

Hope everyone else's lovely Sunday was better than mine.

Hope the antibiotics work for the dog Jeferey. Enjoy going to work in your new car, did you get a people carrier this time.

Oh no, hope you feel better soon CW. You are right it was a lovely day for being in the garden, as usual though I ended up doing loads of work :rotfl: - I barrowed a ton of top soil into the back garden and spent a while raking and levelling. I've watered it and am going to seed it tonight. I did keep having a sit down with a glass of vino with DW every so often :D
Haven't actually got the new car, I've ordered it, should be collecting it May/June! I tried to get a second hand one but couldn't find one so got myself a decent discount on a brand new one :D
I've downsized a little, only 5 seats this time as DD1 has her own car now, DD2 is going to Uni in September and we seldom need the extra seats nowadays so it seemed a bit daft to get a people carrier again for the amount of times it would be full of people!
New car still has a decent boot for stuff but I've gone for petrol this time after 11 years of diesel as I'm not doing the miles to justify it.

Poor you CW was it a bug or something you ate do you think?

Sounds like you had a busy day in the garden jeferey and how exciting about the new car too.

Fairly busy weekend for me too as I ran my first 1/2 marathon yesterday - was actually quite hot and a lot tougher than anticipated but I did it, and in a time I'm relatively pleased with.

Thanks kerri, still feel a bit off tbh. I don;t know what it was but had a sleep yesterday afternoon and felt ok after but woke up this morning feeling sick/dizzy again, just not as bad as Sunday. No one else has it either so if it doesn;t clear up soon I will have to go to the doctor.

Well done on the 1/2 marathon, :Tare you going to go for a full marathon later in the year.

Think I need glasses Jeferey:rotfl:as I read "barrowed" as "borrowed a ton of top soil" and couldn;t imagine anyone borrowing soil:rotfl::rotfl:, but I read it again and realised:rotfl::rotfl:Hope the grass seeds grow quickly, the ones we put down last summer were a bit slow to germinate but did grow ok in the end.

The new car sounds good. Having a bit smaller car should save on petrol too.
