Good morning guys

Dull and cloudy here today but at least its dry. Thank goodness my dh got up and put the heating on to warm the house up. lol.

Morning CW and everyone else.
I just remembered to turn heating on this morning 5 minutes before I left at 06:30 - good job as it's DW's birthday today and the last thing I'd want is for her to go downstairs and freeeeze! Unfortunately one of DAILs died last night but it's been inevitable really so a blessing really. Still sad though

Sorry to hear one of the famous DAIL's has died. I know it was inevitable but still sad to hear after all they went through in the last few years. Am I right thats just one of the oldies left now.

Happy birthday to your DW anyway, hope she has a nice "warm" breakfast anyway despite her being upset.

Thanks CW, there's still 3 DAILs left plus FIL (he was 1 of 8!). One of DAIL's that was poorly is somewhat improved now. There's a queue for funerals in Brum so it won't be for another 20 days :eek:

Hoping to lay the patio this weekend then I can tidy the rest of the garden up - I think I'll need a new lawn, it's a bit wrecked

Wow Jeferey, must be a lot of people dying in Brum if you have to wait 20 days, that is so bad, especially when all those families will be so upset.

Glad your DW enjoyed her birthday anyway, lets hope there is no more bad news like this for a long time.

The weather was ok yesterday so maybe you will get your patio laid as the ground will have dried out a bit. Good luck with it.

Off shopping in a bit and when I come back got to sort out yet another ebay idiot. Bought something and now doesn;t want it. grr....

Sorry to hear your sad new Jeferey.

CW Don't know if it's the same in brum but I have heard (when it took over 3weeks to get a booking at the crem for an elderly neighbour) that the wait is actually due to those faiths / persons where faith does not direct a set burial time after death, being bumped down the list to accommodate those that do.

Sorry I've not been about much, long work hours, being poorly and lots of training means not much time to get on here. Do think of you all though when I'm not posting.

Lovely sunny day here, might try and get a wash on and out.

Patio laid apart from a couple of bits that need cutting. I'd cut 2 pieces then the angle grinder went pop :eek: Really pleased with it though, going to be well used in the summer

Well, took angle grinder back to neighbour and he lent me a different MUCH bigger one - it was almost like cutting butter! Patio all done now except for a row on the front face. I've raised the patio up so it's the same height as the new greenhouse and the summerhouse.

Great that your patio was done so quickly Jeferey, the weather did you a favour and stayed dry then. Hope you get the rest of it finished soon and good idea to keep it all one height, saves the risk of tripping. lol.

The weather stayed nice yesterday albeit a little cold for my liking. Today looks much the same so far.
