Well done.
It's important not to believe the rubbish they try to spin you. It's up to them to prove you owe a debt, not for you to prove you don't.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I have received a letter today from capquest saying i owe £6.17!!!! They say it is a debt purchased from Vodafone but i have correspondence to prove this debt is no longer viable from Vodafone. Vodafone have also stated that they have pulled the account back from the DCA. This letter from Vodafone is dated back to september 2010. It is going to cost more in recorded deliveries of letters etc do i really have to waste yet more money on this deluded DCA?
Please help0 -

If I were you I would just read their letters and laugh at them.0 -
IGNORE the fools...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Capquest have threatened to move the account forward to litigation if i don't contact them within a week. They have also stated that they have supposedly made various checks and validations to establish facts around my current circumstances and have stated that they seem to be aware that i have no CCJs (a fact that i am fully aware of) but say that a judgment for my already sorted £6.17 will have serious consequences on any mortgages or loan agreements i have.
I am tempted to write a snotty letter telling them just how pathetic they are, but i feel its just a waste of my time, energy and money. I might just wait for the next installment (threat) from them :rotfl:0 -

I have just had a call from this firm this evening they asked if I was my name I replied yes then a guy proceeded to tell me they had sent me 9 letters (I have never received 1 letter from this company). Then he asked if I could answer some questions I said do you have any proof of who you are or who you work for. Surprise surprise he said we'll speak to you on another occasion. I will update as anything else transpires.0

I am being phoned at least 3 times a day by Capquest saying I am in debt with t mobile but won't give me with any info unless I confirm my personal details to them. I am not willing to do this as they obviously don't have my address as I haven't received any letters from them even tho they say they've sent a few. I am currently with t mobile but I am not in arrears as I pay my bills monthly. I have told Capquest I will continue to ignore their calls until I receive something in writing and if they have my address this shouldn't be a problem. The horrible advisor just said we will continue to pursue you until you give us your personal details!!! How can I stop this harassment, I don't want to change my mobile number but will have to if it continues. I have spoken to t mobile and they have advised me to speak to their Capquest team, they have a team dedicated to this company so now I don't know if I should trust t mobile!!!0
