Is that another thread you were wrong in and argued for the sake of it?

How did this thread start off as 'my daughter has been fined for no mot' and descended into a game of stick and stones? everyone knows by now that mot has nothing to do with insurance, its been done to death on here loads of times.

you have been on here long enough to know that most motoring threads descend down the same route and often by the same posters

Some fairly new/recent argumentative types have joined us and it's set off some of the other forumites.
Don't let it worry you, they eventually get super stressed and then disappear within a few months.

It looks as though my daughter was wrong, and imagined taking it for a mot. The garage last issued one in Jan 2012. So she has been driving 6 months with no mot. At least she has one now.

All she needs to do now is pay the £60 fine. Don't even bother telling the insurance company as this is a non-endorsible offence.

A good option for the future is pay around £2 for a text to your phone when your m.o.t is next due this will go to some way to avoid a £60 loss in the future.
