To be honest, I am quite happy to accept other people's views, which is how I thought things were supposed to work in this country, particularly in the political spectrum. I choose to vote UKIP based on various reasons. You don't, that's up to you. It's also up to you vote Labour if you want to. Or conservative. Or whoever. That is your choice. Just like it is my choice, and my right to vote UKIP.

What you don't do however, is come along and say "I think Alex Wood is a Nazi, but someone else doesn't. I accept that". Instead, you come out with;

That picture shows both cameron and obama using an open hand facing hte cameras like a wave. It looks very different from the ukip salute.

Anyway, I don't need a picture to tell me that UKIP are a bit odd....

I didn't insult you though did I. I called him a nitwit as he clearly is one (by his own admission he was pretending to be a pot plant). I also didn't call him a nazi, I said that he did a nazi salute. I am on pretty safe ground because there is a photo of him actually doing a nazi salute.

To counter this you have linked to other photos of him not doing a nazi salute, pointed out no-one has prosecuted him for allegedly making some comments on his facebook page and posted a picture of Cameron and Obama waving and very clearly not doing a nazi salute.

You can keep going as long as you like but it isn't going to delete the picture of him doing a nazi salute from the Internet or change the photo into a picture of him pretending to be a pot plant.

I realise that comment was perhaps made in Jest, but personally I don't see anything wrong with a young lad in his early twenties having a bit of a laugh. I am sure we have all done things that were probably funny at the time but seem a little silly later.

Alex Wood's problem of course is that he wouldn't have expected someone to hack into his facebook account, steal a long since forgotten photo that is only accessible to his friends (and hackers) and have it plastered all over the Daily Mirror.

Incidentally, if it was, as some like to claim, a Nazi salute, you would have thought those involved in the smear campaign would surely have been able to uncover further evidence of him being involved in some kind of extreme, fascist organisation, where Nazi salutes are the norm.

But there is nothing, nada, zip, F all. Which makes the whole story look even more ridiculous. And those who fell for it even more so.
