I'd think it unreasonable if its a regular shift pattern - but is it? Or is it just this week, or just those 2 days?
The job is only for 2 weeks. It's the next sale weekend, so night shift sorting out the tat and then an early shift controlling the jumble sale.

I too did those shifts in a hotel at 16 & 17.0 -

So, I'll say again.......my daughter is prepared to do it, I haven't come on here moaning about them, more about the time INBETWEEN them.
On the basis that your daughter was prepared to do them, how does she now feel about only having half the shifts?2014 Target;

3 hours a week for two weeks is hardly worth putting on a CV.0 -

I don't really think 6 hours really does count as solid previous experience, even for a 16 year old. I suspect the money would have had more benefit than the experience.0 -

Granted it's not a great deal of experience but it would give the girl an insight into what it would be like to work in retail and I would agree at 16, you're probably doing it for the money.0 -

3-4 hours for 2 weeks? That's hardly any retail experience....a regular Saturday/Sunday job even, that's worth putting on a CV. But, 2 weeks work, she's hardly going to gain any retail experience worth mentioning from that is she?0 -

What a foolish comment, she's 16 for Gods sake. She may be asked to come back, she may get a permanent job from it, it will show that she has some retail experience whether she has worked 2 hours or 2 years.
You really cant win on these boards sometimes when some people act with troll like behaviour.
Do me a favour dunroamin, take your comments to a thread were they're appreciated....0
