    I've been Money Tipped!
I don't get the choice of hrt, unfortunately as I have to stay on tamoxifen for the next 5 years. I think I may ask about alternatives though as it is becoming unbearable. The gp would only give me 2 months to see how I got on, and it is blooming awful!

On the Macmillan and bc forums, there are some women who have come off it and prefer to risk the return of their bc rather than carry on!! It's that bad!!

  • Sage tablets helped me a lot. They are worth a try.

I've heard sage tablets are very good too
  • I had a hysterectomy at 40 and am now 51. I get the odd hot flush but I do get lots of other menopause symptoms - aching limbs, weight gain, vertigo to name a few.
I am going to try go through mine without HRT and my last blood test showed my hormones were up and down, so peri menopausal.
I will be glad when it is all over

For me, I am hoping to get medically retired next year as I have significant disc problems. If that happens then I will stop my hurt. At the moment with the intensity and severity of my flushes I can't cope at work esp if I have had a really bad night.

I should also add that I have also piled 2 stone on and have old lady dry skin no matter how much cream I plaster on after a bath. Isn't it just miserable

I've just ordered one of these for £8.95 delivered from Amazon.
The reviews are good enough for me to try this one as the price of the chillow is a bit steep for me.

    Hope it's good :)

I looked at that one too, but thought I might as well go for chillow, as sounds like it will be used for a goid while :(
I see someone mentioned aching limbs, that's another one I have, but never associated with menopause :( is there no end to this nightmare x
i came into the world with nothing, and guess what? i still have it!!!:p

Mines been going on for five years now and heading into the sixth year. Along with all that goes with the menopause, I look in the mirror and a stranger with my face stares back at me...... The menopause sucks! :(

I just asked for the chillow for a Christmas present. My daughter was delighted not to have to rack her brains for something to get me.

Marmite potato, you're not kidding. The menopause really DOES suck!!!

And then, after that, it's downhill all the way...!!

Has anyone gone into menopause with the Mirena coil in?

I had mine replaced last summer and they told me that it would help with symptoms so they're just going to leave it there now. But they were a bit vague as to how it would help.

I don't know whether it's supposed to delay it or lessen it.
