Right, so this is what I've done with the money....Cheque was for £451.52 so I have......
    * £50 into bill account to cover any shortfall - anything left next payday will go into savings.
    * £201.52 (my half of remainder + odd pennies) into savings account.
    * Dans half (£200) into bill account where he can't see it. I know its sneaky but I won't tell him the cheques come in, if he asks for it, he can have it, if not then the debt can have it.
    * Another £91 from Change jar ( the non £2/ 20p or less money) + £14.55 left from last months budgets into saving account :D

So in total, I have put £298.07 towards Lucys challenge:D .... Still have eBay fees/postage to pay then I can add the eBay money, and get started on listing some more stuff - must remember to keep checking for cheap listing days . This'll probably be all I'll manage to save this month except for Change Jar/£2 challenges, and anything else I can sell..... we'll see.

But when you're finished with them they'll sell well on ebay. That's what I told myself when I spent £23 on trousers for DS today...

£14 on clothes from Next- not bad because you can ebay them and prob get your money back when you no longer need them!

Could have been a whole lot worse!

True... I think I did ok, I got a t-shirt and shorts set, two t shirts and two pairs of trackie bottoms that all match, plus two long sleeve tops, not bad for £14.
I will eBay them once DS has outgrown them (I've bought hem 6-9mths cuz he's starting to grow out of his 3-6mths stuff already and he's only 5 mths! - don't suppose a 6'7" daddy helps with that!). I've still got all his 0-3 stuff to list, I tried doing a few bit seperately, but they didn't go, so I'm gonna do a bundle instead.
Trouble is, now that I'm DFW, I feel guilty whenever I buy anything that's not food :o He will need them soon tho, he's growing so fast!

  • Went shopping yesterday, and spent £44.32.... but £16 was for beer for OH and £6.28 was for doggy dog's food, and they have seperate budgets, so I actually spent £22.04 :D but I did forget shower gel and chicken, so I'll have to pop back today :o

Oh brought loads of lovely change home too, inc a £2, so we're up to £64 now. Think I'll bank when I get to £70 or £80, then I can get some lovely interest too

Must MUST get my @r$£ into gear again today, I've got 6 days til I go back to work  , the house is a mess, I've started painting the stairs - after saying the whole time I was on Mat leave that I was gonna do it, I wait til the week before I go back to work to start it!:o - and I have a huge pile of things to list on eBay...

Think I'm gonna have to limit my site surfing to one 30 min session during the day, and one 30 min session tonight when DS is in bed... OH is off work tonight, so I won't be able to paint - he is SO clumsy and will drag the paint thru the whole house! Gonna have to concentrate on the eBaying then I think...

OMG!!! I have just placed my first MB!! Have to wait til after 9 to see how that goes

Nearly done painting the stairs, just the secong coat on the treads to do then its finished.

£406.69 so far for the Olympics:j , but didn't actually put any money towards this week:o , but I've got £14.56 in Paypal (fees still to pay tho :o ), plus a cheque for £5 ish to pay in still, plus my change jar money....£34 so far :D and £74 in £2s.

Got 8 things listed on eBay, two with bids already, so I'll wait and see for those, AND OH gave me a couple of things to put on there, plus I really REALLY MUST sort the baby clothes into bundles and see what I can sell. Hopefully I can go for silver instead of bronze.

Food shopping tomorrow, as back at work full time from Monday  altho DS has got his settlement days next week (earliest I could get them in, he is only going one day per week tho, starting a week Mon) so work are gonna be none too happy with me coming and going all week!!!

Got a shed load to do at work, and I already know that I'll be bringing it home with me  .... Still OH has agreed that if it doesn't work out, we will live off less money and I can go p/t..... we shall see.

    Jobs for tonight are....

    * Next weeks meal plan/write shopping list
    * Finish painting stairs
    * Bag up change if enough to bank
    * Enjoy LARGE glass or wine and last late night for some time to come!!!

How did the MB go Sarah? I keep meaning to read all the blurb on this but haven't had time yet. Some people seem to be making quite a bit doing it though.
Good luck at work tomorrow, I hope it goes well.
