lol im having a pat backing session as i write this:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:my snowball date is jan 2009 but im hoping to be debt free way b4 that, and hopefully by the end of the month i will only have the overdraft to pay off, which shouldnt be too bad!!! im just really glad i found thissite, ive got quite a good credit history and it would have been so easy for me to get another loan/credit card, justified by the fact i need to redecorate this house!!! i managed to decorate ds bedroom, quite cheap aswell but need some flooring/carpet yet!!LBM 29/07/ 07

I`m glad your back and posting missed you last week, hope you had a good holiday??
I see your back on track and wishing you well with your challenges, I too am going to get loads listed on eBay tomorrow, although might not have as much to list now as last night the empty flat upstairs flooded into our property ruining all the xmas stuff and the bathrm etc
Oh well it will be intersting to see the challenge totals next week

Well as we rent its only contents, we have an excess of £100 but this year I was really organised and had bought loads of rolls of wrapping paper, gift tags xmas cards, bows etc for xmas, these were all ruined along with about 10 xmas gifts I had already bought.
The worst thing is all the towels and linen etc trying to get it all washed and dried when you live in a flat with no dryer and its raining outside is not much fun !!
Oh well at least it wasn't as bad as the poor people that got hit by the floods.£23366/ £39206.92 DFD Nov 20160 -
Ok, happy moment for me today.... The money came thru from my savings account today, and I have just paid Egg the sum total of £2429.14..... leaving it with a balance of £0. :j That's the first time its had a zero balance since I got it way-back-when ago :T
Now all I need to do is save another £202.10 (already have £343.50 saved) and I will be CC debt free.... That will be a great feeling.... then it's straight to work on the loan
So to get the £202.10, I have listed 16 things on eBay, with a couple more to go on, plus I have some matched betting underway.... and I put 21p in the change pot! Also have some £2s to bank (only £20s worth, so I'll wait a bit) and Quidco money to come thru at the end of the month.... It really makes u feel positive
Sorry, smug moment overenjoy ur day everyone!

Just looked at my savings accounts and some thing has gone awry... I seem to have a 'spare' £105  and I don't know where its come from. Usually I am A1 at remembering what transfer is what, but this one is really bugging me
It'd be :j if it really was 'spare' but somehow I don't think it will beMe thinks a little transfers diary is needed now.... or I'll have to start writting it down in here!
AND I can't get Egg Money Manager to work  .... apparently the website egg.com can't be found'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Ok, I know its late, and I should be asleep 'cause I'm up ay 0630, but I just had to post this because its pretty monumental!
I think OH has just had a mini LBM:eek: :j I can't believe it!!!!
I just phoned him to say night - he's at work - and he said 'ummm yeah, in the morning, we need to discuss money'.... 'course I knew what was coming, having his acc on my EMM and all- he's not got enough money to pay the dd's that are coming out, why am I not surprised
Anyways, I asked why he had no money left, and he actually said that it's because he is useless with money and that when he cmes home in the morning, I am to take away his debit/cc.Music to my ears
So I *obviously* gave him the whole gloating speech:rotfl: about how he always moaned at me for treating him like a kid, and that two weeks into the first month that he has had total control over his money, it has gone wrong already.... and of course I put in the four magic words..... I told you so!:D :rotfl:
He has agreed that I will have back his debit/cc, and that on pay day, I will leave enough money in his Halifax (where his wages get paid and bills come from - originally Bank Charges Reclaim parachute acc) for his bills for the month, and any other money can go into his Barclays, then once its gone, it gone.... I also pointed out to him that he now has nearly £500 on his cc that he needs to pay off asap (*only* 39.9% apr:mad: ), so I suggested he logs on here :money: (he hates the whole idea of the site! ) and starts getting some money saving ideas!
Will keep myself (and anyone else who might read this) posted, this could be an interesting time!
