Like a good little DFW, I have just listed 30+ CDs/DVDs and a couple of old xBox games on Amazon..... low and behold one has sold already:T
Got a nice big box of eBay things to take pics of too, then must master Turbo Lister......
NSD for me, but OH did put a £2 in my jar 'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Hi Sarah, is Amazon better then ebay? I find the fees far too confusing to understand. LennyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

well done on getting an Amazon sale already.
I had a read through that thread you mention a while ago and plucked up the motivation to list a couple of books as a trial run. They still havent sold so Im unsure whether to perservere. Having worked out what they will sell at (by matching the lowest bid for the same condition), and taking into account the fees, its seems theres only pennies to be made.
Do CD's / DVD's sell better than books? All my books and CD's are ancient (obviously havent bought anything since Ive been in debt) so I think perhaps that makes them harder to sell.
You sounds really thorough with all your DFW efforts. Do you find it takes all your energy to keep up with paying little bits off your CC's, MB, bingo etc.? Im not sure I have the time and patience to earn little bits of money with lots of different websites, cashback, clickthoughs etc.0 -

Hi Sass..... there are people here WAY more thorough than I am!!
I must be honest, I don't find it too bad most of the time..... I started properly just after Christmas last year when I started mat leave... thats when I really had the time to look around the site properly. I don't really do the daily clicks anymore, and haven't done any MBing for a little while (altho I will be looking into this again when I get a bit more spare cash behind me!). The bingo you can do in the background behind whatever ur doing at the time, as its really dull anyway. I do that with any surveys too.... I can survey and MSE at the same time!:D
I never buy anything without seeing if I can get it cheaper on the net, and if I can go thru a Cash Back site....
It only takes a few minutes to list loads of things on Amazon, then u don't even need to look at it until something sells (unless u haven't had a sale for a while and need to review ur prices). With eBay, I tend to 'store' things for a while until I have a few to sell, then hit it all at once.... but always make sure that the listings end a few days before I know I have a day off work so I can trek up the PO with my parcels.
I don't know what the trick to it is really, I guess because I started during my mat leave, by the time I went back to work, it was a 'way of life' almost, so I just fit it in where I can - altho I am not very effecient with my time (on hols from work this week, and still sat in my pyjamas atm!:o ) The only time I really struggled to keep up was over Christmas just gone, because we were mega busy at work and I was just too tired by the time I got home, cooked tea and sorted DS out.
It's not something that happened over night, I guess the more u do things, the more 'natural' it becomes, then before long you don't even have to think about it!

   Bad day today..... went to supermarket with OH to get what I forgot yesterday (dog food and tea towels) and spent £57.45:mad:
It was as if my DFWness was just deactivated as I walked in to door!!! I was like 'oooh, we'll have this and we'll have that'.... and when OH picked something up, I was all 'oh yeah, that looks good' - what a complete c0ck up!!!! And whats the worst thing - I put it on my credit card!!!!! I'm so hacked off with myself its untrue!!! I'm currently drowning my sorrows in a bottle of wine, so if my typing gets worse than it normally is, that'll be why!So tomorrow, after my friend has gone (morning coffee - yay! Will need after the wine consumption tonight!!!) I am getting my butt into gear and doing eBay listings! I also need to go to Oxford as my Christmas prezzie watch broke, and I need to get it refunded/replaced.... gonna check train prices v's parking prices in a mo.... and I have a couple of eBay things to post. On a good hote, I did find two packs of stamps that I thought I'd lost, so I can use them for postageGod I hate this sometimes!
