So just had a text from my husband and it looks like he has been hiding another debt - another loan for £2500 which is high interest. I will wait for him to get home from work to find out the details. I am hoping he has enough for the school uniforms.

  • Well some heated discussions were had in our house last night :o:o. I have gone through all the accounts online and it's not as bad as I thought the only thing DH had not told me about was a loan...will need to add that into my signature later!
We have gone through our income and expenditure and we can clear W0nga on Friday :j and any work bonus and overtime money will go off the high interest loan I found out about last night. This should clear in a few months. DH is currently on the phone to his boss booking in extra overtime.
I transferred £15 last night from topcashback to my T3sco clubcard which we can double up on near christmas. We have another £60 pending so hopefully if we can this will also go to the clubcard for double up. Now I have to keep my fingers crossed that frozen food will be in the options to double :D
Of out in a bit to do a mystery shop we have to spend £5 we will get that back plus another £7. DD1 has a party on Saturday so we will be getting a pressie which will be effectively free :money:
This afternoon we will be trying to make a few pounds through facebook sales.
Hope everyone has a good day, its looking nice out :j

Purchased the bulk of school uniforms today ready for September so £150 lighter and approx £100's worth left to buy:eek:. Unfortunately DS' uniform can only be purchased in one store and was really expensive
DH has left the cashcards home and transferred the money to clear Wonga this should be gone in the morning :j
Also had a letter from the council our council tax has gone up as DH is no longer classed as a student so will have to factor in and extra £25 per month taking that bill to £150, I have had a look in T3sco and will be buying the online pre-paid Visa cards as these have no fee on them and I will get clubcard points :money:
Had parents day for DD1 at pre-school today and although she is very quiet she plays nicely and she is starting to come out of her shell a little. DD2 went in to play while we were having the meeting and didn't want to come home so I think she will settle well when she starts next year :D

  • :j:jWonga has been paid off:j:j so can cross through that one now.
Both cars need fuel today £20 in DH and £60 for mine, we are going to see my dad this weekend so higher than normal cost but worth it!
DS's birthday on Sunday we are having a family meal we already have the roasting joint so potatoes, veg, yorkies and a birthday cake to get, I also need to take out £10 as a gift from his sisters. :D

We currently have £140 in the account and its pay day for us on tuesday (we start our month inline with WFTC). I have found a few oddities on my back statement a re-occuring payment which I have not signed up to!! :mad:so will be phoning the bank to get those refunded I am hoping that will leave us approx £60 to be paid on the high interest loan. :D

I have also had my first ebay trade customer :j:j so hopefully the feedback will drive more customers to me and I can make enough to set up a website :j:j

For the first time in years I feel in control again DH is working with me instead of against me and understands the importance of paying £5 off the debt rather than on sweets and drinks at work. He has left his cash card home again so no spending for him :D

NSD so far today the only thing I think we may need is milk may try and eek it out.
I haven't phoned the bank yet so that will be a job for Monday, DH left his bank card home again today so NSD for him.
I have asked DH to call the high interest loan to add me as a contact so I can make payments he will do this on Tuesday when he is home from work. I have done a new budget based on all the essential outgoings and minimum payments and we should be able to pay at least £200 off the loan. We still have full freezers so maybe able to cut back on the shopping also less packed lunches to consider as the schools break up for the summer I will try and make the payment £300 minimum, the following month should be more as DH has approx £400's of overtime booked.
DH will also be going into the bank as they have started to make a noise about his overdraft he is not using that account and occurring loads of charges which he has not kept on top of, hopefully he can get them to freeze the interest while I start making payments to them.
I have started saving silver coins and have put them in a money box which is on display DH would never think of checking the money box

Hi little miss - was just browsing and your title caught my attention - like it! I also just wanted to say I admire your approach. My boyfriend did a payday loan with the intention of keeping us afloat/ fed for a week. We'd discussed it and I thought agreed not to do it. It's paid off now (was for a very small amount) but I wasn't too happy. If I found he had loans without me knowing I think I'd want his head on a platter! Instead I found out he had started a small savings account for when (eventually) we start a family. Admittedly I found this out when he had to use it to fix the car but I loved he had done that!

Hi Little pink purse, I am VERY pleased wonga has gone, we just need to clear the loan next!
Today is going to be a lazy day :o I am absolutely shattered after going to see my dad yesterday, he is still on life support and we found out yesterday they are treating him for a rare form of pneumonia :( He has had it for a week and when questioned anyone in contact with dad must leave the hospital have a shower and change their clothes and no contact with any one with asthma...My 4 year old has asthma she already cuddled me after the morning visit and I had no spare clothes. The hospital should have told us earlier and I would never have visited now I am watching DD1 like a hawk  They were really reluctant to tell us what was wrong with him
We had a lovely meal for DS' birthday but it was far too hot for roast so lots went into the bin.

On MSE news I did complete Consum3r Puls3 last night adding all the items on from last week so we are over £30 payout on that at the moment once at £60 I may withdraw and get an Innotab for DD1 for christmas. :D
I must start doing more surveys and swagbucks but too be honest I find them so boring I always find something else to do! More effort required on my part!
DH told me this morning he is doing a carboot at the weekend so I need to have a good sort out this week, if its not pinned down it can go! :D:D

    :j:j:j It's Payday :j:j:j

£200 has been withdrawn for shopping for the month, I am really hoping we can stick to this with 5 of us and this also has to include nappies
DH's car will be filled up later and I will put £20 in mine. I really need to add up the petrol costs this month so I have a real figure to budget with.
£30 has been transferred to savings ready to pay off the loan once DH gets paid on the 28th.
Carboot planned for this weekend we are hoping that the heat will bring lots of people out and we can bank some money, however anything over the £10 site fee will be a bonus.
I also need to pull my finger out and set up a new Facebook account to start selling, I just feel so down at the moment all my get up and go left without me :(
Still need to call the bank :o

DH has taken DD1 doctors this morning her asthma is playing up and although we have increased the steriods its not having any effect she is also running a slight temp. She has had her flu jab so hopefully it will pass quickly.
