    Awwww!! Sounds so lovely!
We spent £31! We got a padded snow suit which is cream with grey stars for baby to come home in, a knitted owl hat, an 'I love mummy' vest which I think is the same as yours (I already ordered I love daddy one when they had 40% off!), a knitted cardigan & a pair of socks!
We really spoilt baby today it was lovely :) x

So you were also on the website on the 40% off day lol!

Can't wait for my order to arrive!

Snow suit sounds cute! Sounds similar to our sleeping bag!

Ooh I saw that owl hat! I was laughing cos someone we know has just had a grandchild but she's scared of owls so we were debating if to buy it as a joke. It was very sweet!

Ooh didn't know they had an I love you mummy one too. Oh well spent enough I think for today!

I knew going to sleep early would be a bad idea, wide awake at 4am with baby kicking away so I'm on the sofa with a glass of milk and some biscuits. :o

FB Group is a great idea! Will PM one of you with my details. :)

Your poor OH's balls TL! OH plays rugby so wears nice lyrca shorts and rubs a load of vaseline around before a game. Seems to help. :) He's also a big talc fan on a normal day! I'm glad I don't have to worry about any dangly bits! :p

You're so neat Claire! :) I'm also the heaviest ever which is both horrifying and funny. I'm just trying to get my head around it and keep telling myself that I've only really got a big bump, everything else looks as it did before to a degree so shouldn't be tooooooo hard to lose it afterwards! Although I have noticed that my bump is getting flat. Always had a biggish, but pert and round, bum and it's definitely getting flatter. Not impressed, it was the only extra fleshy part of me that I didn't mind! :o

I wish I'd known about the Gap sale! Would have gone in there over the weekend. Even though baby's wardrobe is already pretty much full! :o I was pretty frustrated this weekend actually, we went up to Edinburgh to stay with friends and they marched me about so much (was soooo tired!), I'd told OH before we went I wanted to do some Christmas and baby shopping but did we go into any shops? No! I complained and he said 'Ah, it's all the same high street shops as anywhere else', yeah but they're bigger and better than anything we have locally! And last weekend in London we didn't go shopping 'Because it's all the same shops' and now this weekend... are you seeing the pattern? I just want to get my bloody Christmas shopping finished and now I'm going to have to go to the local town to do it with rubbish small shops. Thanks OH, thanks a lot. :p

Just make sure you buy him something really rubbish for Christmas and when he complains, you know what to say.... :rotfl:

Gutted I missed the Gap sale - I am not normally a big fan (partly because I think everything in there is always so overpriced) but hubby likes it, so it would have been nice to get him a few baby bits to go in his daddy to be present that I'm making for him!!

Lol I agree with squirrel, socks for your OH this year Birdie

Had a long dream last night that I wasn't allowed to move otherwise I'd offend the tribesmen. When I woke up my sleep addled brain decided that meant baby girl wasn't moving so had a long time panicking til she gave me a few squiggles- she's always quiet in the morning and never wakes up with me so it's all perfectly normal for her but it scared me :o

On a related note, does anyone else not get woken by baby kicks? Keep seeing people post that baby woke them up but I've never been, either she's quiet at night or I'm just not noticing lol

Also got upset that little lady doesn't have many clothes, just the essentials, will just have to make sure she's well and truly spoiled in the January sales :D

I'm a light sleeper so sometimes the kicks wake me up, sometimes I'm already stirring and they keep me awake. He's really super lively at night though, you can tell his Dad's a rugby player with the way he moves and kicks! :p 3am seems to be his mad hour. Just hope that changes once he's out! :p

I think we're the opposite with clothes, we have some essentials but the boring stuff is too boring so we've gone mad buying cute things! Need to make sure we've got enough vests and whatnot. OH makes me laugh because he can't get his head around needing different sizes. I say 'We need more vests' and he goes 'But we've got a pack...' Yeah, a newborn pack, but we need 0-3 then 3-6! :p You need to get pretty much everything in the Ted Baker Baby at Debenhams collection for your little lady TL, it's all so adorable, if we were having a girl we'd be bankrupt by now and the nursery would be full of tiny clothes and not a lot else! :D

Annoyingly I've already got OH's Christmas stuff sorted (since he's nerdy and the things he wants are only online!), it's my family I need to get sorted. Maybe I should give them vouchers offering up OH's time and skills instead of material things, he'd love that! :rotfl:

  • I'm always having a bit of a lurk here and there, teehee, I would really like to join the FB group too. When OH is at work, I'm all on my lonesome (I don't have any friends or family in the area whatsoever), so it would be nice to chat. :)

Morning! I don't wake up to baby kicks, unless they're to my bladder so I wouldn't worry :) We've only got essentials for little lady, a big drawer full of neatly folded vests & babygrows. My Mum thought the neatly folded compartmentalised drawer was a bit much when I showed her at the weekend, but I love that I can just go straight in and know where a vest/pyjamas are. I haven't bought her any outfits though as I know they grow so quickly, and I expect other people will buy us a few of those.

One of our NCT group went into hospital on Saturday after her waters broke, she's due a day before me! It's made it all seem very real. I'm a little envious as it means she won't have aches and uncomfortableness anymore, although I don't want our little miss born before she's ready.

I don't get woken up by them TL, although sometimes when I wake up she is kicking or soon after, & I've got it in my head it means she's hungry therefore I need to eat breakfast ASAP! Although I need to anyway as I feel sick if I don't eat quick enough. Starting to think I'm going to have nausea until she arrives!

Birdie - bankrupt cos of outfits is the way I'm going right now!! Oh I normally love that ted baker stuff, need to get an old work colleague to buy it for me with their staff discount..!

Send your DH out with a list I reckon! Or order online, so much easier!
