After a few days of feeling left out of family stuff I had a lovely trip to Chester with just my parents who made me feel really taken care of and that they're excited about the pregnancy- mum had even been and bought an owl for the baby's nursery :) got treated to a very lush lunch at Tropeiro, which is one of those all you can eat Brazilian places where they bring skewers of meat to your table periodically til you turn your little card to red to say no more. Was really delicious freshly cooked stuff, although being stuffed afterwards made my waddle more pronounced lol

Glad you enjoyed Chester TL - that's my stomping ground, you should have given me a wave!! I've never been to Tropeiro though - must try it soon as it sounds like my sort of place!!!! :rotfl:

    Congratulations lily and abi! :D

I disappear for a few days and baby's appear! :)

I've started waddling a great deal atm but managed to enjoy DH's work do - I think I ate my own body weight in food! Had a glass of wine with my meal and a lady opposite was disgusted with me. She told me a couple of times that she didn't agree with me drinking at all :(

Then the next day an older lady told me that working mothers are what's wrong with country!

Why can you never think of what of to say when faced with these situations?

Mrsbunny - that's enough time to eat a box of mince pies though ;) but hardly worth the commute in I reckon.

Rummer - I made the first two Montessori toys this evening. Wooden grasping beads and teether. Nursery doesn't have the artwork up yet but I've started putting the other toys (egg & cup, little wooden people, bean pot) on the bookshelf and OH agrees the Montessori setup is lovely and makes sense as it's made the room look loads bigger. I've snuck Ewan the sheep on the shelves too ;)

Consultant appointment for me tomorrow, hoping I get discharged to midwife care although they've already agreed I can go to the birthing centre :) One week until I can go there. Really should pack my hospital bag. BigZippy - when are you packing yours?

Tell them to mind their own business unless they want you to make interfering and judgemental comments about them! Then maybe do so anyway!

    Congratulations abis! :T

TL my mum is the opposite, she didn't even want us to find out the sex!

Smlsave, I don't really like seeing someone drink in pregnancy even though I'm sure 1 glass is probably ok, but I'd never think to say anything to someone! Unless of course they were like getting drunk or something! Even then I'm not sure what I'd actually say so perhaps I wouldn't actually! Also seems rather odd to do it at a work do i mean rather awkward office politics wise!

If someone said something about working mothers I'd tell them to give me a couple of hundred grand to buy a house then!!
