Lovely news Lily, congratulations! All the best ice and abi!
Becca, my sister lives in Australia and my folks went out for six weeks over crimbo a few years ago... I found it really tough - Christmas with no sister and no parents either. As much as I love my in laws it's just not the same! I would be even worse in my current hormonal state - big hugs to you x
Promise to report back after the women only NCT!fran-o0 -
Massive congratulations Lily, must be a huge relief for her to finally arrive I'm so happy for you
Sorry to hear you've been bumped iceice, but at least you get a teeny bit more sleep
Rummer - I've ordered one book, I'll post a photo of the room and the wooden toys I've made so far tomorrow. I have been told I need to sort out our dining room/craft pit before I can do the pictures for the wall. It looks really bare without books or pictures up at the moment. Waiting for OH to find some time to poke his head round the door in there to tell me what he thinks.
AFM - I only have energy because I'm powered by belgium bunsMW said we can walk the baby home in the pushchair if we get to go to the birthing centre, so that's a relief in case the car seat doesn't arrive in time
Mum & Dad are coming to visit this weekend, so I want to finish the house and then spend 3 weeks relaxing and just watching n3tflix like you're supposed to
Still getting BH and convinced this child won't go until term, but we shall see.
Aww so loving that there's been more babies bornmeans I'm getting closer to the top of the list
Can't wait to meet her with her little toes now.

Lilly....congratulations on the birth of your little girl, praying she puts on weight and is allowed home soon.
Abis.....hopefully some news soon....good luck.
Iceicebaby....fingers cross you get to meet your little one tomorrow must be so frustrating but i would want an emergency to be dealt with before me if I was stable etc.
Becca....try not to worry about your parents I know how u feel, (well sort of, your worry must be worse than mine due to the length of time away) my parents go on a cruise next week for two weeks and I'm already missing them as won't see them now till they are back. I don't normally feel this clingy to them! Are they tech savy parents? Can they skype you? Hope so. Xxxxx
Got our mini hotel break booked for Thursday night, looking forward to it and I hope I have energy to wonder around Liverpool one. Shame I can't eat breakfast on Friday morning as I have the GTT test and need to fast.......DH has come up with a wonderful idea....I am to get breakfast and he will eat it for me :rotfl: men! Any excuse for a double helping of bacon. Hoping they will have some muffins or pastries that I can pop into my bag for after the hospital.
MW tomorrow = early dart from work.....whoopie!!!!

Congratulations Lily and good luck Abis.
My house purchase is progressing which is great. Especially as I'm still struggling to buy anything for the baby as I just want a house first. However the restructure at work is kicking off and I have to apply for a new role in the next three weeks. The interviews are due to take place when I'm 37 to 41 weeks!!! Also they're intending to lose 20% of my grade which is a bit worrying. I really wish I just had time to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
My NCT course with DD1 had a women-only hour where the men went off into a separate room and had a bit of a natter and a get-to-know-you.
The women's hour was about lochia (bleeding after birth), contraception (e.g. no tampons, breastfeeding doesn't stop you getting pregnant), what to expect if you tear or have an episiotomy. It didn't take long tho - wouldn't image you could stretch it out to a whole session.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Congrats on the little one Lily, hope you get to come home soon.
Thanks for the responses on my frozen nipples!!! Think I'll get some breast pads in but I'll be sure to post a pic if I knit some!!!! Need to practice my techniques anyway so might do it for a laugh!! Xx0 -
