Second NCT last night, talked about and looked at diagrams of stages of labour. Lots of encouragement not to go to the hospital too early and to stay off your back during labour. Got a women-only class on Thursday so I'm kind of expecting it to be the gory unglamourous stuff...! Still finding them a friendly bunch and the teacher easy going. TL your parentcraft course sounds nuts, what a shame!
I am booked for a unit tour at the hospital just before Christmas and think its a good idea for us - I just find in general if it comes to something I'm worried about I am more relaxed if I am better informed... its my inner control freak!
Counting down days at work now and feeling very thankful that my boss is going easy on me, picking up some of my work so I can focus on the loose ends I need to tie up and getting my procedure notes written down. Two weeks to go!
Thinking of all the ladies about to meet their little ones! My little kicker has got super strong recently - really hard jolts.

First day in the house since I've started my holiday pre-mat leave. I've so far rearranged the baby's room, taken apart the cotbed for storing in the roof, made a billy bookcase, and put the sheets on her mattress :) Really loving the way it looks, taking down the cotbed has made the room seem a lot bigger especially with the mirror positioned behind the mattress a la Montessori practice (thanks Rummer). I've realised a few of the wooden bits I ordered weren't quite right or I don't have enough dowel, so have ordered a few more bits including some wooden butterflies so I can paint those to make into a mobile.

I've also wrestled with the hood on the Moses basket and I think I've finally sussed how it goes together :)

fran-o - I missed that session as ours was yesterday and we were on our way back from the lakes. Hoping I didn't miss anything too exciting. Hope you enjoy yours on Thursday.

Oooh exciting that the baby seems to finally be on the way Abi! :)

Squirrel- I can't say I've had any issues with frozen nipples, but then mine have always been pretty devoid of feeling anyway... if you knit some nipple warmers please show us! :p Or you could just layer up with a vest or put some fleece scraps down your bra? :)

Sounds like you've been busy Kerri, don't do too much and wear yourself out! :)

Squirrel - I'm only 11+3, and I have the freezing nipples going on. Cold = tingling = pain and itching. DH jokes that I need to be careful when I'm around cars, lest I accidentally 'key' one with my nipples! :rotfl:

My feet and hands stay fairly cold too, even when I'm out walking, and I know that my circulation is fine, I just cannot stay warm!
