Ooh Dida I've got that book, they're yummy
I daren't use the spray remover though as when I've tried it previously on my legs I've come out in the most horrendous itchy red rash...we've sussed out what the problem has been though, needed a new razor blade
so all sorted now hurrah!

Amy loo, yes! Stealthy, sneaky child of mine!
MiniZee also seems to like being warm... As soon as I lift my top to watch the bump move/show DH s/he goes quiet!
Managed to get (what I think is) a bargain bundle on eBay this weekend. It had 2 swaddle me wraps, 2 mothercare hooded towels, a Philips manual pump, and a tomy? monitor. Got it for less than £11 including p+p - that's pretty good, right?
I also "won" a cheeky bid on a lined maternity coat. Hoping it a) comes soon b) fits better than the last one I tried... Time will tell, but I'm impatient!
I think I'm gonna need to do some eBaying of my own soon... reduce yet more of the clutter... I have some jackets /coats that are too big for me (I lost 80lbs before I got pregnant) that I've been holding on to in case they come in handy with a bump /as a last resort, but tbh they just don't fit anywhere. They look ridiculous on the arms/shoulders etc but still struggle over bump etc... I'm loathe to get rid until I have something I know *will* fit over bump though, so... Waiting. (Not my strong suit) Maternity coats are SO expensive though, IMO, particularly for anything nice, with a hood, and designed to provide any warmth.
Congratulations Nene (and ttc if I forgot to say before??)!

I am due to be induced tmrw, terrified doesn't even cover it. They have said they will do an internal to see if there has been any activity with the cervix, I pretty much bet there hasn't been then they want to use the gel it has 6 hours to react before they do it again...
I reacted to prostagland in the pessary last year and terrified I will do it again this time with the gel, they can't do anything till the cervix dilates to break waters needs to be 3cm before they can do that, can't do drip without breaking waters.
I have this bad feeling I can't shake that all this nightmare is going to end with a c section because it won't work, not sure if I should just ask for a c section after internal if nothing has happened...
HELP!!!I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Big hugs Brunettegirl, have a good talk with the MW about your options if you're worried about what's going to happen. Hope you suddenly go into labour this morning and the baby arrives quickly and safely!
BZ, I got my maternity coat from JoJo Maman Bebe, £69 isn't cheap (although I got £15 off since I had collected enough stamps on my loyalty card!) but it's not that expensive considering that I normally spend that or more on a decent coat and I knew I'd be wearing it all winter so cost per wear isn't that much! It's got a drawstring around the waist so you can cinch it in to fit at all stages and just let it out as the bump grows. It's really light but very warm, I'm impressed with it!
Well done on your ebay bargains, really good deal!
Got MW appointment this morning for 25 week check. Couldn't find a pee pot at home (I know I've seen a couple somewhere!) so will have to hold my wee all morning, get to the surgery early, ask for a pot then quickly wee before going in!
Not feeling too fresh this week, bump is really stretching now and feeling sore. Felt like my belly button was going to explode open last night!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

HELP!!!
If you had a bad reaction before then I'd definitely be asking for the section. I know loads of ladies would do anything to avoid one but it would save your fear during the 6 hour wait!
I was induced at 38 weeks and the first pessary took me from not even close to being a cm dilated and the second to 3-4cm and I went into labour from there without the drip so it does work. Good luck though xxMy Debt Free Diary

Morning all.
brunettegirl - I really hope you go into spontaneous labour today and don't have to go through all that tomorrow. I know I keep saying it, but try to remain as relaxed as possible today, even if it seems impossible *massive hugs* I can't help thinking they got your dates wrong xxx
AFM - I slept on the sofa last night, I went up to bed late last night and OH was snoring/grinding teeth/being a nuisance. Then I started tossing & turning, so just gave up, grabbed my pillow and headed for the sofa. It's the best nights sleep I've had in absolutely ages, the sofa supported my bump really well so I didn't keep waking up with it aching. The only problem was my left hip absolutely killed and the cats kept taking over the sofa between me and the back of the sofa forcing me off!!! They got kicked off the sofa completely a number of times. I actually feel awake though for the first time in weeks
Not sure OH quite understands just how painful sore hips are, he got a little stroppy with me that I wouldn't immediately get off the sofa and empty the tumble drier...apparently the clothes get damp if you leave them in there too long?!?!? huh?
Labour vibes to the boldies and hugs to those that need them xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Awwwww I remember when I could hold my wee in all morning.............. *reminisces*0 -
Brunettegirl- I hope everything goes well for you.
Still waiting! Off on a long walk today again (well, as long as my back will allow- killing me now after walking for about 2 hours yesterday!). Everyone texting me asking if there are any signs- I am tempted to go into the more TMI signs, but I don't think that's what they mean
Can you ask for a sweep earlier than 41 weeks? I have one booked for the weekend but am ridiculously impatient now. Although I suppose impatience isn't a valid medical reason for the midwives!0 -
Hi cloudy,
I had mine bang on 40 weeks (now 40+3 grumble grumble) as the standard for 1st time mams in the area... but its 41 for 2nd time + (not sure whether this is your first or not, sorry).
I don't think there would be any harm in asking, but not sure that they'd do it before full term unless there was a reason... there is a good chance that they'd go up and it simply wouldn't be possible... but if some do it by standard at 40 you should be able to bring it forward a week?
Saying that, it's not always successful so I wouldn't pin all your hopes on it if you are allowed it earlier (now that I've said that you'll probably break waters mid sweep and then BOOM baby arrives)

Yeah it's my first, so I thought it might be worse asking! I might see how I feel today and give the MW a call later. It must be standard here for 41 weeks.0
