Claree_x, just do what works for you! I express fed both of my girls and it worked very well for us but I got the impression from HV and MW that they saw it as a novelty that wouldn't last.
Congratulations minimuffin!
Granny's appointment went well, its a slow growing cancer so they are going to give her a mastectomy but want to have her reviewed by anaesthetics to make sure she is up to it. Came away feeling very positive and very impressed by the breast team. Next stop is her preassessment, hopefully my younger aunt will be able to go with her (she's at home with broken foot at the mo) as I should be very busy by then.
Have another appointment with ante natal clinic tomorrow, need to find out if he is still breech or not. They did say if he was that they would try turning him but I'm not very keen on that at all, I have never met anyone who has had a successful turn and it is supposed to hurt like hell so I'll be politely declining that and telling them to go for the sunroof option. But keeping everything crossed that he has decided to head towards the exit by himself and I can deliver him myself!

So glad to hear about your granny - very pleased that they are willing to help her! I don't want to make asumptions about you/your granny's age but I know with my grandad in January there they wouldn't have touched him with anything as serious as an op - and I consider myself quite young at 23
I don't like the idea of them trying to turn baby either - thankfully mine isn't breach at the moment but they thought she might be (insane I know!) and I decided there and then that I wouldn't be going for the turning option - good luck tomorrow! My Debt Free Diary

Granny is 80 (I'm very lucky and still have a full set of Grandparents at 35! My Granda turns 89 next month) so we were surprised that they've gone for that option but to be honest it is the only one available. There is no way she would cope with chemo or radiotherapy and the tumour won't respond to hormone therapy. The surgeon has actually said if she isn't fit for a general anaesthetic then he can do the mastectomy under a local anaesthetic!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

They do use sedation on elderly patients too so she wouldn't be aware of what was happeningLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon all!
Huge congrats mini, hope you and the baby are well
Was at a wedding on Saturday, thought I'd wear wedges instead of heels. I fell over. Outside the church. Surrounded by people. Baby & I are absolutely fine other than a skint knee and (severely!) dented pride!
Had our 2nd anti natal class this morning which was all about feeding - slightly concerned now. I'm due to go back to college 2 evenings per week pretty much as soon as tiny is born (obviously if I miss a few classes, I miss a few classes!) and we were planning to BF throughout the day and then I'll express into a bottle for OH to feed if I'm out at college. MW today mentioned that this could confuse baby between bottle and breast so I'm not sure what to do now!
Also our first anniversary today! OH got me a lovely necklace I've had earmarked for a while. He apologised that it wasn't much but there's not really much he can buy me at the moment! Usually shoes, clothes or a handbag would be on the cards but what's the point when I'm wearing maxi dresses, flip flops and will soon be carrying a nappy bag! Bless

I wouldnt worry, midwives and health visitors always seem to say this but I had no problems with either of my two mixing breast/bottle/dummy.
Sometimes with midwives and health visitors its best to just smile and nod, and then get on with what you know works best for you and baby.0 -

Gosh you're thinking ahead lolafter DS was born (section) my tummy muscles were very weak. After a few weeks I started morning Aquafit classes 2/3 times a week, loads of older ladies and me
After about a month of this I got something called a "Flexee" like a stretchy corset- really hard to get on at first but a couple of days later my jeans could then fit on
My mum always says women need to wear something like this to retrain the tums. Anyway yes it worked for me
Been so hot today- school trip to zoo 28 degrees- :0 totally wiped out but ended the day with my feet in cold water in the garden with DS.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Its not really that ahead. I'm 25 weeks today so only 15 weeks left. And they say it only really works in the first couple of weeks as yours still "supple" from giving birth so the bones or something move easier. That's what I read anyway so I need recommendations of which is betterWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

Ooo it would have hurt me in the first few weeks to wear something like that. My belly was very swollen tho-A week after the section I looked at least as pregnant as I do now at 26 weeks.
I would imagine if this product is aimed at postnatal then it may help with position of pelvis etc (basically good posture) as ligaments are still stretchy from pregnancy hormones. There's no harm in trying it if its not uncomfortable for you, my Flexee worked for me (in addition to exercise) in fact I wore a panty girdle too to help lower tummy so the one you are looking at would probably be better.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Yes.
Totally ruled by hormones, my sleep cycles seem to be. not that they're always great when my hormones are being controlled, but they're definitely worse when they're allowed to run amok
Btw, you missed me off the listMy EDD is 8/1/14, if you wouldn't mind adding me? We'll be team yellow
