Well, tomorrow is due date and doesn't look like anything is happening. Just the typical period type pain i've been having for weeks! Midwife in the morning, not sure if it will just be the usual urine, BP, heartbeat appointment?

Will most likely be the usual, checking all is well with mum and baby, but they may offer to make an appt for a sweep perhaps a week later. Then at 41 weeks they may arrange an appt for following week for induction. (If you're still pregnant then)

Question for ladies with hip pain...I have to drive to Cardiff tomorrow (1hr drive on the motorway), I've just unpacked the last of our dining room and the bending up and down was absolute agony (should have done it sooner), would you advise against driving tomorrow if it's still painful or chance it? Right side appears to be more painful than the left. I have got a MW appointment tomorrow so can double check what she advises, but wanted thoughts as it's not like I'm just popping to the shops.

Fluffysox - I hope you go naturally before then. Just had my last midwife appt before EDD. Apparently here they will do a sweep at 41wks and then hospital for drip at 41+3.

Thanks, was anxious throughout pregnancy about baby being big since DS's birth ended up in emergency section so hence the intervention (sweeps etc) but I'm fairly confident this baby boy is smaller so less worried about letting him grow for another week. Feel truly exhausted and uncomfortable today- should be keeping active to bring on labour but all I've wanted to do is lie down. I have a relation who is expecting her first baby in a few days and she is putting me to shame bouncing on a fit ball for hours lol. I had one last time, not sure it helped me, DS was still back to back and labour started naturally when I was fast asleep? Didn't consider getting one this time as knew DS wouldn't leave it alone. Little tyke pulled a strip of my living room wallpaper off the wall today :0 Thankfully it didn't tear.

Have just woken up to go to the loo and sorry for TMI there is quite a lot of blood when I wiped. Could this be my plug? I didn't see it fall in a big lump so could still be some in there. Just wondering whether to call someone and check. Have felt bubs move once so far today and had painful low down cramps in the night that have died down now.
  • Lobey - call your midwife just to be sure. I lost my plug the second time around but it wasn't really bloody, mostly mucous with a blood streak in it. Consistency like snot (sorry TMI). I really hope it's your time though - will keep fingers crossed for you. Exciting! Xx

    Fingers crossed for you lobey!

Just popped on to recommend this
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Summer-Infant-Ultimate-Body-Pillow/dp/B0035ER15K

Slept with it for the first time last night and it was the best nights sleep ever!
It's not cheap but it can also be used as a nursing pillow or a support for baby when they're learning to sit up.
Or as we discovered last night, a cat bed. He was very upset when I shooed him off so I could use it lol
