Congratulations on the beautiful babies that have been born

Hope cleofish is getting on ok - keep looking out for an update.

Also hope lemonmelon is doing ok if she is reading along and not posting at the moment xx

I had my results of the slapped cheek test back and it said that I hadn't been exposed to it over pregnancy. They have no idea what was causing my cheeks to go so red and be so hot to touch - but said they could repeat the test in a month if I was still concerned. I'll only be 2 weeks from my due date then. I don't know what to make of the news - I thought I would be happy but I still feel a bit unsettled and would have preferred a scan for reassurance.

Keep wondering if something is starting to happen though, or whether this is just the way things will go for the next few weeks. I had horrendous diarrhoea yesterday and period pains on and off together with tightenings. I had some in the night also and still this morning too. I presume its just Braxton hicks, as no real progression in 'pain' (I would call them uncomfortable rather than painful definitely). I did have Braxton hicks with DD, but not this early I don't think, and I think it was just the very dodgy tum that made me a bit concerned.

Baby is incredibly active as well, so presume its all just par for the course for the next few weeks.

I did think my waters might be leaking yesterday too cos when I went to the post office (TMI) I had a mahoosive amount of discharge come out and it looked like I had peed myself as I had a big stain on the outside of my jeans :o Nothing more after that one gush - and it defo wasn't enough to be considered waters going or anything. Luckily I was on my way home after that and could change!! Think I will wear pantyliners/pads in future to save further embarrassment!

Overall - I think pregnancy has turned me in to a massive hypochondriac!! I feel like there is always something to analyse etc :o

I'm so not ready yet. Nursery is being decorated this weekend, but I still have to clear the room and selling things is taking slightly longer than anticipated.

Am feeling ever so sad at the moment too :( Our beautiful cat was attacked by a dog on Friday night and had to be put to sleep. The police are involved as a witness saw the attack and has reported it as deliberate :( Its just so awful to think that there are evil people living on my doorstep who get their kicks out of things like that. The house is so strange without him, he really was the softest most gentle cat, he is very much missed

Had first proper disturbed nights sleep from what I suspect we're Braxton hicks; started around ten and lasted for most the night. Am37+ so hope things are moving din right direction however as I'm on 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea not sure whether to cut it or continue?

Really nice to hear all stories and that even difficult ones are worthwhile. X

    - You can say no to the vitamin K injection for baby, I need to research into this as I didn't even know they gave it to babies or why.
Babies are born with lower vitamin K which reduces clotting/makes the blood thinner. I believe there are various theories as to why this could be beneficial however on rare occasions a baby will have some kind of haemorrage (I think in the head but it's ages ago I read up about it so I forget the detail) which having lots of extra vitamin K reduces the risk of why is why it is offered for all babies at birth and then breastfed babies are also offered additional top ups in the first couple of weeks (formula contains extra anyway). Personally after reading into it I decided to only have it in the case of an intrumental delivery but obviously I would recommend reading up about it yourself so you can make your own informed decision.

The white stuff is vernix, DD1 had none but DD2 had loads.

Congrats continual. She's gorgeous but you've done it now calling her Scarlett. My DD2 is a Scarlett and she's a stubborn little monkey :rotfl: Very opinionated and head strong. Same with the other 2 Scarlett that I know so good luck ;) :rotfl:

Well I'm back from the Midwife. He's finally decided to go into the pelvis. :j :j :j

Just treating myself to a Belgian Bun now :D Maybe 2 :o;)

I know TL, so sad  People don't consider what is left behind when these things happen. DD is devastated, our other cat is clingy and confused, DH is upset and had to pay £200 to the vet for the emergency care as well. I'm just a mess - he was my fur-baby that I brought home on the due date of our angel baby :( He was the most lovely pet and loved so much.

He was called Mickey. My daughter named our other cat Mouse when she was just 3, so we had Mickey and Mouse. Mickey was only 1 yr old - such a shame as he had such a gorgeous personality. Sorry to make you cry :o It keeps happening to me lots too :(

Can anyone recommend half decent maternity tights? I bought some from h&m and although massively comfy both are holey after one outing!

    Thanks in advance
