Congrats on all the new arrivals, I can't believe how many have arrived recently.
I have suddenly become very anxious about everything especially being a first time mum and I feel I have just been left to plod along. I have no idea as to baby's position which is starting to worry me as I'm nearly 36 weeks and thought they would have checked this by now, although I am aware they can still move!
My next midwife appointment is not until next week and my last appointment was as 33 weeks. Due to circumstances with my midwife and doctors surgery my appointments have always been later than they should have been and I have completely missed out on 1 appointment which isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things but still.
I have been feeling increasingly rubbish over the past week. Headaches are back and acid reflux is 10 times worse than it was, then there's the hunger!! My appetite has been poor throughout until now and I just eat everything in sight.
I'm worried about knowing when I'm in labour, I know people say you just know but that doesn't help! Over the past few days I have had diarrhea instead of my usual constipation, I've also had crampy pain in my pubic bone area and stomach cramps like period pain and also like food poisoning pain along with lovely shooting pains up my lady region.
After googling it looks like this is all normal but I have this fear that ill be in labour and won't know it haha. But I haven't experienced any braxton hicks and my stomach doesn't go tight so I'm guessing these are just part of being pregnant.0 -
Congrats on all the births
Jess, Harry is soooo cute
Well I'm just back from the midwife. He's not engaged, and his head is just to the side of the pelvis. Little monkey. I've opted for a home birth now as I'm just so worried I'll be here alone, or worse, alone with kids, when he decides to come and she said if its down as a home birth I'll get 2 midwives straight away which puts my mind at ease a littlethen I can decide If I want to go into hospital at all.
Anyone had a home birth? What did you think? What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
Back from the midwife and really hoping the sweep works.
40+1 but couldn't get in on Thursday to see my midwife which is my usual day so had to go in today instead. Chances of the sweep working are low she said as majority of baby's head can still be felt and my cervix was still supporting the baby, it hasn't started to soften yet :-(
Been told to massage my clary sage oil into my tummy though this afternoon as it might just might encourage things and work hand/hand with the sweep.
Booked in to see her again next Thursday and she also booked me in at my hospital for the 5th of Oct to be induced. So at least I have a time frame now and know I won't go over the 5th of Oct.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

Just bumping the list, it was a fair few pages back. Any news from Welsh_cosmic? Or have I missed it?
Anyone know of any good voucher codes/discounts at the minute? Want to buy a bouncer chair and maybe a cot mobile and having not paid full price for anything yet I am in search of a bargain lol.
The back/period pain has just returned, has anyone else had this? Not even sure if i've ever had a braxton hick, sometimes it is hard to tell whether it's that or just baby rolling around

amazon have an event for people on amazon family including the free trial so an extra 20% off one item with a code
plus Boots spend £100 on baby stuff, get £25 off. When they do this you can usually use one other voucher or discount code aswell.0
