Bangton I'm exactly the same with needing the loo! Even if I've been about 5 times before I head out anywhere I end up getting to the end of the road and feeling absolutely desperate! I'm lucky to only go once or twice in the night but it is a real drain always needing to plan a loo stop in the day
Thanks for tips on bed mats everyone, I tried a towel over it last night and still ended up in a sweaty mess. We have a cover on our mattress anyway but I don't know if its waterproof. Could really do with the sleep so might have a few nights off and Sod's law will bring on labour!

Aww gorgeous pic
Had our first nhs 'parenting class' last night (34+3). Was quite good, just gave you information and reassured you about labor, pain relief etc, but didn't leave you feeling pushed into anything. Next weeks is about what to expect in early days - when & what checks are done etc. Got told there will be no information about bf or ff, as it's up to us what we choose, so Long as mum and baby are happy it makes no difference to them what you decide. Thought that was very refreshing, although we know we're going for ff, I imagine if you were wanting to bf and you struggled then you'll feel like there is less pressure on you so perhaps easier to ask for help/keep going as you want to rather than feeling like you have to.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Had our second hypnobirthing session last night, we learnt some really good breathing and relaxation techniques. I just hope I can use them when it comes to the big day
didn't get to the end of the cd before falling asleep last night either and actually felt like I had merged with the bed I was so relaxed, so must be working

I am sorry if I am behind- I haven't got the internet at the new house yet which is very frustrating! So having to catch up when I am work or somewhere with good wifi! Congratulations to new arrivals and I hope everyone is doing well.
Last week at work this week and I can't wait! I am getting quite stressed as the baby is breech and is definitely not budging, despite all of my Spinning Babies attemps and bouncing on the birth ball. I have a midwife appointment this week, so fingers crossed it will have moved by then.
I also have the ridiculous weeing situation. The other night I must have been up at least every 45 mins. So, so tiring! Oddly it doesn't happen that much in the day, so not sure if it's also a combination of being completely uncomfortable in bed too. Grrr!0 -
Jessi, Harry is so gorgeous! Well done you x I hope you recover soon x
Welcome CupofTeaxx
I get up loads in the night for the loo, I also have to stop regularly when driving even just on way home from work, the staff in tescos must think 'that pregnant woman again' whenever I go in!
I'm really looking forward to the Baby showtrying to think what I want to look at/ buy. All I've got so far is a blanket and Moses basket stand. I'm really hoping for some freebies
decided not to take my son as I think he will get bored.
Baby is still breech and very uncomfortable. I keep getting lots of low down kicks that aren't pleasant. She seems to wake up mid morning and most of the night *yawn*

I must start reading book although I don't feel they helped with the birth in any way last time
hope they do this time!

Bangton, bladder storage capabilities will be much improved as soon as baby stops squashing it. To share an experience only cos it worried me at the time and must be normal, I couldn't empty my bladder later on in labour despite feeling the need. Baby's head must have been blocking the way. They put a catheter in when I went to theatre and no exaggeration the bag was as big as baby by the time I got to recovery. Then whether it was a side effect of spinal block, the surgery or the use of a catheter for a few hours I don't know but I was panicking when after 12 hours I still was unable to do a wee. Midwife was totally chilled out about it and gave me a big jug of water to drink. (I felt I shouldn't drink anymore until bladder emptied) And tbf it worked. Two glasses of water and bladder function returned. So relieved! After that I was back to normal. So if anyone else struggles to wee after any of the factors I experienced, don't panic, just drink.
Jess lovely pic
Katylana could be early labour, contractions can come and go for some time before getting established. I had 24 hours where they were 4 minutes apart for a couple of hours then eased off to 20 minutes apart for a few hours etc
and the second day they intensified. Had a prearranged 40 week appt with midwife on the first day so went as normal. She said early labour could even last a few days so to go for a walk etc to help it along. Went to Aldi and leaned on the trolley when contractions came
Toothfairy, hope you got back to sleep

NCT breastfeeding class last night. The message wasn't 'absolute' that it was the only option but obviously that's what they were steering you towards & that was the purpose of the class.
My view is that I am there to be educated in technique, but if it doesn't work out, so be it. I appreciate the benefits but also have seen many ff babies grow up to be perfectly healthy children/adults.
OH working away last night so bed to myself. Was up a few times as usual - but then was asleep when woken at 8.20am by a delivery driver.
Scan & consultant appt tomorrrow to check position of placenta. Expect a decision on whether it's a section & if it is I assume we will be given a date. Not sure what we happen if they say I have a choice.
I'm OK with the idea of a section although accept recovery can be easier from vaginal birth (not guaranteed though). Also it means less of a wait!
Jess - he's gorgeous. I can't get my head round the fact that I'm having one soon (or maybe a pink one). x

Ahh he's sooooo cute jessimacalucy!!
TTC40 - I had the NCT breastfeeding class recently too, hope you enjoyed yours. I was expecting it to be a lot pushier than it was. Obviously like you say it was very pro, but I liked that the leader wasn't too 'militant' and did discuss how to do formula feeding too.
Good luck for your scan tomorrow.
Had another NCT class last night and did massage techniques for labour - we had to practice on our OHs and I kept reminding him to stop enjoying it and pay attention so he knows how to do it on me lol!!0
