  • Just trying to take my mind off things not sure if things are happening or if im ill with something.

Had some crampy back pains yesterday and a really dodgy tummy when I went to the toilet, came home and finished packing my hospital bags but it went away.

Just woke up with crampy tummy pains thinking I just needed a wee but couldnt go, pains are gone but I feel really sick and my cheeks are bright Red, ive taken my temperature but not high.
Im sat here with a damp towel on my face hanging over a bowl in case im sick.
Im in no pain now so im really not sure what it is. No other symptoms anything is starting and didnt think feeling sick would be one of them.

Woke oh just to say not sure if something is up, hes said give it 5 mins and fallen straight back to sleep, but to be fair to him im not sure what to say im not in pain just feeling sick.

Think im going to give it half an hour and then try to go back to bed.

Did this happen to anyone else like this at the beginning?

Seems like the night for everyone to be awake! Cleo I can't say having never gone through labour... But I hope it's something exciting happening rather than you being ill. Have the vibratey sensation again really low down this time on one side. Not sure what it is but have stomach cramps and bubs has been moving constantly down low the past few hours. Hope it's working its way into full engagement.

I'm up too - went and got in the bath as I just couldn't get comfortable. My hips have been playing up again and whichever side I lie on I get pins and needles followed by horrendous pain. What really worries me though is that I get 'clicky' if I then try to move too quickly and I'm scared it's going to be another dislocation *sigh*

Still, it did give me the chance to read a good book and have a cup of (decaf) tea in the bath :) Bumpy seems to be as fond of a good soak as me - she's all arms and legs as soon as I get in, then settles down loads until protesting when I get out :rotfl:

I hope everyone else manages to get some rest and that this is the start of something for you Cleo (if you want it to be, of course ;)).

ETA: Congratulations Kayalana, your little man is absolutely gorgeous :j :j :j

All of my lsbours started of with a few hours of being really sick, tummy cramps and loose bowels (sorry if tmi) followed then by irregular contractions. Maybe it might be the start of something fingers crossed x if you do start getting contractions keep moving to keep them going!

I was having a nice dream then got woken up at 4am by bump wriggling around lots. I was just getting off to sleep when I felt a head or something drop into my pelvis, which was a bit freaky! I'm hoping if it is a head that it stays there as baby has been transverse, oblique and breach at all my midwife appointments!

OH has got man flu so he was sniffling and grunting all night too and neither of us could get back to sleep till the alarm nearly went off!

Is it me or are people incredible rude and ignorant when you're pregnant? I walk to/from work and get fed up of others walking/cycling straight at me and expecting me to get out of the way by jumping in the middle of the road and passing really closely and not giving me room. I'm probably just being extra sensitive though!

I also get fed up of the big bump/tiny bump and carrying high/low comments, all in the same day! And the 'You'll be lucky to make it full term' and 'You've got a shock coming' comments! Thanks!

  • BadlyWrittenPoem, are you not on the list or have you somehow fallen off?
I've never been on the list. (I'm due in March but I don't want to be on the list because I've had too many failed pregnancies and wouldn't want to have to ask to be removed.)

I thought some people were like that all the time. My particular hates are 1)adults riding bikes on the pavement and nearly mowing down your small child and 2) people who walk two abreast on the pavement and don't move aside for you. I have actually stopped walking on occasion because I wasn't willing to step in the road to let people continue two abreast and had individuals actually walk into me! I could rant all day about it.
