Went to 1st of 4 NCT classes last night. There were 7 couples. It was OK - although a fair bit not relevant for us due to planned c section. Everyone was friendly & it was a good laugh. The woman leading the group wasn't the most polished/ professional, but I guess that's not the main point.

Never did I think I would ask the question in public 'what vaginal discharge can I expect after a c section'!

Consultant appointment & scan tomorrow.

i havent managed to catch up properly yet, been really busy trying to move in, looking like this weekend now, nothing like leaving things to the last moment

still pregnant here, have another scan today and as long as fluid level stays above 50 they wont intervene so hoping all is well today and i manage to squeeze another week in.

will catch up later.

I have exactly the same symptoms as Kayalana99, told my midwife last week and her response was pretty much it's normal for this stage of pregnancy, avoid things that make it worse (like hoovering and shopping trolleies) and I just have to deal with it. She never put anything in my notes, and I never thought to push it as didn't know it could affect labour so much, I just thought it cleared up once baby was born.

Good luck to those having their babies today! Am ever so slightly jealous! I'm hoping baby arrives this weekend, that'd make her a week early. My due date is a week on Friday, and I'm meant to see midwife a week on Wed/Thu...if I've not had bump, do you think she'll do a sweep, given I'd still have a day or two to go until my due date?

I sometimes think it would be great to know in advance.

38+1 today and it's not like I am fed up or anything, it's just the not knowing part I am struggling with. I want to get on with things as I have done throughout my pregnancy but it has a different feeling to it now, can't explain it.

Baby was very very active last night, left side of my tummy was being stretched out massively so obviously still has plenty of room.

Thanks to the people who shared those £10 vouchers for mammas/pappas. I wanted to be clever and use them on one transaction but you can't and it's got to be over a £30 spend, but at least they're valid for 30 days. So going to save one for after baby is here.

Ooh me!!! Keep having waves of nausea like I had in the first trimester. Also woke up in the middle of the night feeling very hot and sick. Weird isn't it!? Glad it's not only me though!

Hello, I thought I should introduce myself as I've been lurking for ages! My first baby is due on 30 October and I'm 34. I don't finish work until 15 Oct so hopefully baby won't be early.

It's all getting a bit more real now but it's hard to imagine that there's a baby inside me! :eek:

Lots of my friends are due/have given birth this year so it's been an exciting time, especially as we'll all be on maternity leave together.

I've been really lucky and had a pretty good pregnancy so far, apart from the usual aches and pains. I'm walking to work and back, which is three miles, and I've been doing pilates, pregnancy yoga and aquafit.

I like having lots of information so we've done NHS, NCT and hypnobirthing classes! No doubt it will all go out of the window and I'll forget everything when it comes down to it :rotfl:
