  • She's an absolute stunner!!

I want mine! OH's cousin had her baby last night after 25 hours of labour, forceps and 1.5 hours of being stitched back up and I'm still jealous!!

I am exhausted now, is it really bad that I'd like the school holidays to be over now - as much as I have loved spending time with my DS, I'm getting to a stage where I'm just too tired to play/entertain!!

Gorgeous MV! What a wee angel :)

Is anyone else constantly boiling hot? I have been sooo warm for weeks now. The girls at work say it's just me lol! To top it off i've just got on the train and the heating is on full blast!! Whyyy??
  • Im permanently red hot - ive been chopping ice, using cooling sprays and have a fan at the the side of my bed to help. I cant wear a jacket or even use a bedsheet on a night im just far too warm.

Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
  • My bmi was 32ish... They had it recorded wrong as 36 initially but even after correcting it they didn't discharge me, they seem to have just kept me on the books anyway. (35 is the border).
Probably nobody wanted to be the one responsible for making the decision - one time I had a consultant referral where the MW freely admitted that it was unnecessary (and indeed the consultant discharged me straight back to MW led care at my first appointment with her) but she still referred me because then she wasn't responsible for deciding I didn't need it.

Is anyone else annoyed with the range of maternity clothes on the hgh street- well anywhere where I can physically go in and try stuff on. Everywhere I go they tell me they don't stock instore and it's all online- apart from the normal baby shops like Mothercare/JojoMamanBebe type shops.

I'm only after cheapy stuff for work :(
Do you specifically need to try the things on? I've always been too ill to be going into shops to try things on so bought most of my stuff on eBay - I would recommend it as a way of getting stuff much more cheaply than from the shops.

Does anyone here have vasovagal syncope? Been told I can't use birthing pool in hospital but I know if I opt for home birth, I can choose whatever I like. Hubby scared if I'm not in hospital and daughters prefer me not to be home (they've watched too many OBEMs despite me telling them in not a screamer!). Not sure what to do. Any advice would be helpful.
I had a trip to A&E in an ambulance and a hospital admission due to low blood pressure and fainting/near fainting incidents (plus a couple of other symptoms) in my last pregnancy and nobody said anything about it affecting using a pool although I was always planning a home birth and my local hospital doesn't have pools.

went to see midwife yesterday though and im measuring ok for the number of weeks so not sure but the midwife did say she thinks the baby is laying back to back, ive not read much yet but im pretty sure back to back isnt the preferred position? anyone got any ideas to help her move?

im 32+3w so i suppose there is time for her to more in a better position but i was wondering if there was anything i could do to help her along?
Mine was back to back last time so I tried the stuff on spinningbabies.com. She was still back to back when I went into labour but came out the "right" way round so must've turned during.

ETA with my eldest I just sat leaning forward whenever I remembered from about thirty weeks and she turned within a week.

YES toothfairy! I'm a fiery furnace at the moment! Have had the same issue with asking others at work if they're hot as air con doesn't seem to reach me but apparently they're freezing? It's 26 degrees in London atm. Just been for a swim to cool down but I'm already hot again walking home!

    Lovely baby pics ladies :)

MV- dramatic birth story! Glad your OH made it and that all went well. Congratulations x

Off to bed now. My two year old is usually good as gold in the day and goes to bed without complaint but he wakes through the night. I remember complaining about pregnancy making me uncomfortable / waking me last time and I had pillows galore. This time its calls of "Mummy!" he has a quick drink then goes back to sleep but nevertheless, sleep has been disturbed multiple times a night.

Hugs Fluffy I've really struggled getting up with my son when he's been poorly recently. I hope your son sleeps through for you soon xx

Re: moving babies I was told to get on all fours last time. He moved and stayed in the perfect position until I was in labour when he went back to back leaving me in agony!

    Lola is so cute :)

Well done Continual :) I think a makeover would be lovely before or after baby x

I could cry! I think my pink lining parcel has gone missing. Apparently it's been signed for, not by me though :(
Trying to save for a deposit
